"Delano Las Vegas this gem is like a spa getaway"
We pulled right up to the Valet and made our way to the front desk. Check in easy, fast and experience was the best as the staff were all friendly and courteous. The hotel entrance and decor was a nice break from the usual and we immediately began to get a sense that this was going to be a great trip. The room was very clean, awesome furnishings a very relaxed and just like home feeling. We booked 2 months ahead so a higher level floor vs the 4th would have been nice, we'll make sure to request it next time. TVs in the living room, bedroom, and bathroom sink bath area was a nice touch. 1.5 bathrooms, His and her sinks, full mirrors, separate bathtub and shower in the main, toilet with a sink and mirror in the hallway entry. Wet bar was perfectly set out of the way. Be sure not to disturb any items as they'll trip a sensor and you'll be billed so take note. The room was clean and fresh with everything in good shape and working. The bed was comfortable, clean with a view of the TV, jetplanes in the air from the airport and the luxor again it would have been perfect if on the higher floors in order to catch more skyline and the surrounding Mesas in the distance. The Delano shares the casino, shows/attractions, and pool with the Mandalay Bay which is perfect. It's joined and only a short walk just past the Michael Jackson One Theater. We enjoyed this separation as it filtered the experience for the better. You get a relaxing calming effect heading to your room, and get geared up and excited heading towards the casino. Take advantage of the cabs/uber or lift from the valet area or take the elevated tram to Luxor or Excalibur. Walk over the traffic bridge to New York New York to get to the strip and walk it or to take the Aria tram from Monte Carlo to the Bellagio on the west side and the Cosmopolitan, Aria, Vdara in between for free. If you cross from to the MGM you can walk the east side of the strip or buy monorail passes which will take you from the MGM all the way up to the SLS which used to be the Sahara and within walking distance to the stratosphere. Back to the Delano, overall this was such a great experience that was filled with fun and for us it was because if the awesome staff, clean, well kept environment that allowed complete relaxation in a stress free environment. The other guests were just as friendly and nice as well. As the title says this was more like a spa getaway. We'll definitely be back.
Went for a long weekend for a friend's birthday. Hotel was lovely and had everything we wanted. Staying here also gets you in the Mandalay pools but its a long walk, of course everything is around Vegas. Just be prepared its not as 'handy' as Mandalay Bay. its also at the end of the strip so be prepared for the tram, taxi, or a long walk.
"Awesome luxury stay!"
Smaller, less crowded chique hotel. We had a scenic room on the 19th floor. Spaceious room with a super comfortable kingsize bed, large bathroom (big bath and shower) small kitchen, living and sleepingroom. It was very clean and everything you need is there like a fridge, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner etc The advantage to stay here (instead of Mandalay Bay) is that it's not so massive and at the pool you are in a private smaller less crowded area with comfortable sunbeds with free icewater and towels. Sometimes they come by and offer you a free drink. But you can also enjoy the beach area of Mandalay Bay that is awesome with the wave pool!! There is a free tram riding from Mandalay Bay to Luxor to the Excalibur, that saves you walking en you are down at the Strip! Must visit is the Skyfall Bar at the hotel, great view over the strip by night, and enough nice restaurants in this resort to eat or have a drink. So yes! We had a great and luxurious stay and when we will visit Vegas again we would definitly go back to this one or Mandalay Bay!
"Unauthorized charges on my credit card"
We booked online through priceline.com and no resort fees were mentioned in the booking process nor on the receipt from them. Upon check in, we were told the credit card is held for incidentals and room charges only and were never informed of a resort fee. When I inquired about the charge at check out, the front desk agent (Marlyn') was extremely confrontational and insistent on proving me wrong. The front desk manager did nothing to accommodate my concerns and proceeded to charge my card for the fee that I clearly stated that I did not authorize ($35 plus tax). We had a great stay at the hotel and would love to come back in the very near future, however this has left us with a very poor first impression.
I would have given I would have given it a 5 star, however at check in the front desk clerk was rude and check out took a long time. During our stay the cleaning staff were all very nice. Our room was beautiful however our room phone went dead and and an out let did not work, small inconveniences.
