So I do love this hotel, which is why I always prefer it when in London. Central but not too central, really clean and stylish, awesome bed you don’t want to get out of, good food and friendly staff. On my last stay I was unfortunate enough to stay on the ground floor, in room 11. I could literally feel any train that went past, and with every step taken in the room above, sounded like a wildlife stampede and the roof literally rattled. I will definitely be staying here again, but will of course insist to stay out of the rattle room 11.
I stayed at Dorset Square the weekend of 14 & 15 October for two nights with my chap. It was our second time staying there. The hotel is lovely, the service is outstanding and the breakfast is the best we have had, in terms of both the food and the service. We will definitely be staying with them again.
"I love this place!"
If you like big, impersonal hotels, this is not the place for you. The Dorset Square Hotel is like staying at a friend's beautiful, welcoming home. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We were on a first name basis with all of them. The hotel is beautifully decorated and kept immaculately. We have stayed at their affiliate property in New York and the quality was exactly the same. If you love boutique hotels, you have to stay at The Dorset Hotel. You won't be disappointed!
"Very nice and beautiful decorated room"
Very good breakfast and cosy bar. I loved the wallpaper at the corridor as well as the room and bathroom was extremely nice. Small gift at the room on arrival and very nice staff. The restaurant was in the basement offering beautiful fruit and very good granola. Nice hotel with a super convenient when visiting Marylebone area.
"Quite a little gem"
I have to confess I've become quite a fan of the Firmdale Hotel Group; so I am biased. I always feel at home in their hotels, the decorations are beautiful, always interesting and the rooms immaculately clean and renovated. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I had always stayed at the Covent Garden Hotel, but now have stayed here and at Number Sixteen and both are gorgeous. The hotel is in London, so the understandably the room (a superior category number 200) was not really not very large at all; but the comfort, thought and attention to detail made it a delight to stay in; although for 2 it might be a bit of squeeze, certainly not much space to sit. The additional drawing room and honesty bar is very useful; especially with a smaller room. The location is great, very close to both Marylebone and, usefully because of its connections, Baker Street tube station and in a wonderful neighborhood of London, nearby restaurants and shops are good. Right opposite the square - and the hotel has a key so you can use this space which is a nice bonus. A lovely hotel for business or pleasure.
