"Great place !"
Very nice facility with the right decor and all in good taste. Rooms are great (I was upgraded to a suite as a diamond member), the gym is small - but big enough to accommodate all the things you need. Breakfast is perfect, I love the Colombian choice of fruit, you can have cooked to order eggs. Location is within a 10 minutes easy walk to the Parque 93, a very nice and hip park (big square with some trees and nice sitting areas) with lots of great restaurants , feels safe to walk to and back (late).
"Great Service. Went above and beyond!"
This hotel is fantastic. Great, safe area near the park and amazing restaurants and bars. When we checked-in, there was a small mishap/misunderstanding with our suite. The front desk attendant Victor went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated appropriately at no extra charge. They even sent me tea when I said I was a little sick. True customer service!
"Good hotel and good price"
This hotel is located in one of the exclusives areas in Bogota, Parque 93. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are really clean and good. The room service is excellent. The breakfast and dinner is really good. The spa treatments is really good. The pool was great and indoor. Good experience
"Horrible experience at Double Tree by Hilton of Bogota's Park of 93rd street"
Staying at this hotel was a terrible experience. The bed was hard, the TV did not work, I found long black hairs in the shower (I have short blond hair). However, what really made the experience terrible was that the the toilet got clogged when I threw toilet paper in it. It was 2:30am and the hotel had no maintenance personal working at that time. They sent the hotel's doorman to try to unclog it. However, he did not have the proper tools, so he made a mess of the bathroom, spilling the toilet's water on the bathroom floor. After around 10 minutes of trying to unclog the toilet he decided he was not able to do so, so he said he would go get another tool. He came back around 15 minutes later with a new tool and tried for around 15 minutes more without any progress. At this point I asked him to leave and tell the reception to get me another room. Before leaving I asked the doorman if this problem was a common one. He did not answer my question but did mentioned that the reason this had happened was that toilet paper had been disposed of by throwing it in the toilet instead of throwing it in the trash can and that the hotel has narrow pipes that cannot handle toilet paper in them. After this, the doorman left. After around 20 minutes I called the reception and asked if the room was ready and the person from the reception told me that they had no other rooms because the hotel was completely booked and that what they could do was charge 50% of the room rate for that night (not for the previous one). I replied this was no good as I did not need a price reduction but a working bathroom!! Additionally this was a business trip and expenses were covered by my company. The solutions the receptionist offered were either to call a person from maintenance and have him/her come from home (which would take around 40 minutes) or try to find a space for me in a hotel that is located next door to the Double Tree by Hilton of the park of 93rd street in Bogota. I told the person that this solution did not work as it was almost 3am and more importantly I had a breakfast scheduled at the Double Tree by Hilton at 7am. After around 10 more minutes I calles again and told the person that if there was nothing else to do, I accepted to be sent to another hotel. After a few minutes more I received a call and was told an available room had been found and I was changed to it. Needles to say, the whole experience at the Double Tree by Hilton of Bogota's park of 93rd street was horrible. I do not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Best regards, JFM
