"Possible bed bugs and blood stains"
Upon waking up my legs were itchy and we pulled up the sheets and noticed there was a small blood stain on the mattress cover. Plus the hotel is right on the train track. Nice downstairs area but the rooms were subpar.
"An evening out for a concert."
We chose this hotel because we were told that is was about .6 miles away from the Amway Center. That is not the case. However, they had a shuttle that took us there for the concert we were seeing. The shuttle driver dropped us off not far from the venue. He told us that he had about 80 people to pick up after the concert and that he would have to make multiple trips and for us to be patient. He was so discouraging, we didn't even try to get a ride back. We walked back. It was closer to a mile and a half from the venue.
After working all day and driving for hours I arrived at the hotel tired and ready to relax. The cheery hotel staff immediately put me at ease with their quick check in. The warm chocolate chip cookies is a great marketing tool. The adjoining garage, and well secured facility makes a woman traveling alone feel quite safe. The room was so large and comfy with so many conveniences I could have stayed days. Everything I needed including a wonderful restaurant for my evening meal was all quite handy.
Great customer service! They were accommodating to any request. You have to ask for a refrigerator but they were quick with bringing that up. They have a nice guest complimentary room near the pool which was great for a quick snack during my conference!
"Will stay again!"
We stayed one night in a king jacuzzi suite. Check in was quick and pleasant you get warm cookies and a couple bottles of water! We did valet park for 22.00 although it's not a terrible distance to self park for 18.00 and no tips! Our room was very large and clean. It had a neat sultans den loaded with pillows if you want to kick back and read or use the iPad. It had a couch and a medium sized round table to eat at. It had a large desk with outlets but no USB plugs for charging. The bathroom was large with a separate room with toilet and another vanity and sink. The jacuzzi was large but it was also shower. It had been repaired by handle and one of the jets didn't work so they drilled a small hole and water squirted out it!! It was a shabby do it yourself looking repair that was embarrassing. There was water damage on outside wall of jacuzzi which wasn't a big deal but a 20 minute repair and it would have looked so much better! The weather was cool and we had to turn up thermostat to 85 to be comfortable heat came out one side of vent and ice cold air came out the other!! They had a cocktail hour that evening with a couple bottles of wine and two brands of beer in a cooler with some vegetables with dip and stale crackers and some hot egg rolls which were good. We didn't try the food onsite after that but they do have a full menu and a bar. On our floor with the sweet we had access to a room with our room key that was loaded with snacks, chips and candy as well as bottled water sodas and juice that was complimentary with our room!! We really enjoyed that amenity!! They had a nice large pool on fourth floor that was private and also had another snack room with stuffed chairs and couches with a tv! Very nice! Had a well equipped exercise room with top of the line equipment! I wish they had an outdoor Hottub. There are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance that felt somewhat upscale and attracted millennials but were nice. They all were on the eclectic side when it came to menus. All in all we enjoyed our stay but with some minor improvements and a tighter maintenance program it could have been even better!
