First time in Chiang Mai, lovely hotel. Central, spotless. Very modern. Good breakfast. Near night market and about 20 minute walk from the old town. Friendly staff. Usual Dusit standard great service.
"Beyond my expectation"
We have visited with ROP privilege on 27 AUG 2017. Our room was assigned on 9 floor with the Mountain view! That's so fascinating! I mean I didn't expect anything at all before my stay. The location is superb, located next to Night bazaar. You can walk from hotel like 2 minutes. Or in the morning, you can just cross the road and meet famous Breakfast Congee next to 7-11. I have walked to Tha-pae walking street, takes around 10 minutes. They also manage a very convenient Parking lot. I mean you don't have to connect from this elevator to another one. You can just park and walk in to Lobby. They offer a 50% discount for us which is nice but we planed to Local congee instead. In the room there's plenty of plug outlet around. Sofa next to window was everything to me. The third bed doesn't feel like third at all, very comfortable. Staff was nice, smiling and very helpful. We forgot some papers when check in, She carried it to our room which some hotel will wait until they see us in the Lobby and return. That's quite 5 stars to me. But I cannot comment about food you serve cause I didn't had one. Just stop by to say Thank you to you all. :) Nice work!

A extremely delightful hotel well located and close to shopping Street markets and old town. Hotel offers delightfully friendly staff very pleasant and helpful Hotel is very modern clean quiet and has all facilities one would require. "Convenient hotel, close to the night market "
My husband and I booked Dusit through a travel agency for my birthday and our wedding anniversary trip. The staff were very hospitable and welcoming. They gave us a cold lemon grass drink once we arrived which is now my new favorite herbal drink. We also had a gift inside a box every night like a key chain and a book mark from Chiangmai Mai. What a great souvenir! The location is really great as it is just in front of the night market and the mall which is really convenient for any guest. Money changers and pharmacy are also around the area so you are pretty much covered. The breakfast has wide selections too. It's nice that they open up at 6 am because some of our trips are scheduled at 7am. I had to drink the lemon grass every day!The room we had had a very tight bathroom and the sliding door was very hard to close too. Overall, our stay was comfortable. Some suggestions I want the hotel to improve are the bathroom tiles. It's very slippery that I fell on our last day while showering. I didn't have anything to hold on to and I hit my head on the wall. I was fine though but was very scared. I noticed the slippery floor already on the first night so I was really careful. I don't think it is safe especially for elderly clients. Secondly, the door doesn't automatically shut when you leave the room so you have to really remember to look back to make sure it got shut down. Thirdly, the gym and the pool closes so early. Usually guests from the US will work out and swim at night time after the long day from the trip. The pool closes at 7pm and the gym closes at 10pm. Overall, it wasn't convenient for us so we were never been able to try them out.
The DusitD2 is a fantastic hotel and cannot fault it, the staff wee friendly the room room was quite and breakfast was enjoyable. It just s close to the street markets but far enough away not to hear the noise. The pool is relaxing and has a small bar if you wish to have a drink. I have stayed at their sister hotel Dusit Princess but the D2 far exceeds the Princess. Will stay at the D2 every time I come to Chiang Mai.
