This hotel was recommended to us by a swiss friend living in Geneva. It was perfectly located for exploring the city and provided a luxurious base to unwind after long days out. Everything was first class and for Geneva prices it was great value for money
"A Jolly Good Stay "
To start off we had excellent service from the staff !!! Upon arrival check-in was quick but also very informative! We were given a map of the city with directions of sites to see by the receptionist. The team subbed us a charger (because I didnt pack it) and didn't charge us for it. Every time we walked in/out we got a hello or enjoy your trip. The room was clean but was a tad small. The massive bathroom and walk-in wardrobe made up for it though. Wifi wasn't great but manageable with it dropping in/out. Great hotel, staff and city was fantastic!!!
"Beautiful designer boutique hotel near train station"
We had a 4 night stay in Eastwest Hotel, a member of the Small Luxury Hotels group. Hiccups during the checkin process were resolved very quickly and sincerity by the management and staff of the hotel. Room: We stayed in the Junior Suite, which is gorgeously designed with modern yet artistic furnishings. I provided some pictures for reference. Sleep quality was amazing with an amazing bed; Toiletries were excellent and smelled great; Showers which were both of handheld and rainforest types provide strong water pressure which is perfect! The in-room nespresso machine was a nice touch for daily espressos. Housekeeping: The level of cleanliness in the room and public areas is of a high level. Staff: Professional and efficient to make this stay in Geneva really comfortable. Food: The beakfast buffet, while not offering a widespread, provided high quality offerings. This was the first time in this Swiss holiday that I saw honeycomb and salmon in a breakfast buffet. Do also ask the nice staff for specialty coffees such as macchiatos and espressos. Location: Conveniently located within 5 minutes walk of the train station and lake promenade, it made daytripping to other areas outside Geneva really easy. Restaurants and shopping areas are of easy walking distance too. However, do be careful of pickpockets in the area, as we were pickpocketed at Rue des Alpes near the hotel. To briefly summarise: Beatiful artistic boutique hotel; excellent sleep quality and convenient location. Go for at least a deluxe room for more space.
"Comfortable and good location"
This is a very well designed and comfortable hotel. We enjoyed our stay at Eastwest. And the people working at the hotel were kind and helpful. The only problem I can mention was with the AC. Our room was very warm even though AC was on.
"Superb Quality and Location, and great people too"
We stayed for a couple of nights in a deluxe room. I believe we were upgraded from a standard room, which is obviously due to my charm. Chris at the reception is a great guy. If you're reading this review Chris, we miss you. The room was simply stunning. It was not a giant room, but a big spacious and comfortable one. Very luxurious too. On top of it all, the TV had this channel with the German Ninja Warrior on. Neat! The location is amazing. 5 minutes to the main train station and 2 minutes to the lake. They also gave us 2 free Geneva transportation tickets. Boom, 10 F in the pocket! We were as happy as kids at Christmas morning. Now all we had to do was to save 350 F more and we were even. The breakfast was kind of expensive at the airport. We asked the reception the usual stuff - where to go, what to see, etc. The first thing Chris said was, after having marked a giant X on a piece of the map, "just avoid this area and everywhere else is great to see". It was the red light district he crossed over. Not a family friendly place. The issue was, we had already walked from the station to the hotel through that giant X. The joke was on the red light district, we have already been to it. Needless to say, we avoided that area. And I kept the map, for my private map collection. Wink, wink. Breakfast is well equipped. There is a very cute terrace where you can sit and have your food while secretly feeding the neighborhood birds. In our defense, there was no sign saying do not feed the birds. I asked for a latte. It came in a giant glass, with a straw in it. Interesting I said, and took a sip. It was a cold latte. What a great way to start the day! Moreover, the straw helped my teeth stay clean, so I managed to save money on my regular teeth cleaning visit to the dentist. Europe is the best! 10/10 would stay again. 10/10 would walk thru red light district again.
