"Problem with charging my account"
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Upon checkin they took my card and charged it with $1024.07 - upon check out I paid the full amount of $1400.00 and that had cleared my account but the pending is still there and affecting the balance of my account. I was assured that this would be removed upon check out. This is troubling. I was interested in going to the UN because my parents both worked there. They have both died and this was a trip down memory lane. The UN website indicated they were closed until January 21, but the reception desk told us that was only for guided tours and we would be free to enter from 10-2 , 2-4. We walked to the UN taking the scenic route along the lake, this takes about 45 minutes. We got to the UN and in fact it was closed for visitors! This hotel does not have a concierge and so the information is not accurate. However, the next day we ordered a taxi service to take us to my old home and school and that was ordered beautifully and was excellent. Now to review the hotel. The location is perfect. In a five minute walk you are right by the lake. Cross the bridge and you can walk up to the Old Town. Also, if you want to take a bus tour, the bus tour pick up is just a 2 minute walk. The hotel is small so no real lobby to sit in mainly for people checking in to sit while being processed etc. We had a deluxe room and it was very nice size. After 4 night there we realized the mattress was very soft and my husband experienced his back hurting. The shower was great and the rooms are clean. The breakfast was superb with local cheeses, fresh bread, fruit, really everything you would want. We did not dine in the restaurant for dinner. The staff was always attentive and very polite.
"Excellent hotel in a great location with Geneva's most helpful staff."
We could not be more pleased with our experience. Arrived early - not only could we check in, we were upgraded to a junior suite (worth the list price as well). Very clean. Excellent location between train station (not too close) and the old city. We will of course be staying here every time we are in Geneva.
"A mixed bag"
A modern and centrally located hotel near the lake so very easy to access both the lake and the shopping areas. A couple of issues were the wooden floorboards which meant the hotel was quite noisy and the room temperature. Even after switching the system off in the room it was too warm and sleeping with the window open meant the ambient noise was a problem as street cleaning starts early and the nearby red light district closes late. Room was well appointed and immaculately cleaned.
"Loved this hotel and outdoor courtyard"
This hotel could charge a lot more for the high quality that they bring to the table, at least thats what my boyfriend and I kept telling ourselves. The location could not be better on Rue Des Paquis, we really liked it. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and they gladly brought us special items such as soy milk and special tea's from the back, the staff was so wonderful truly. The room we reserved was a Junior Suite Standard, I absolutely loved it, the prettiest aspect of the hotel was the small outside courtyard with tables and nice gardens and vines growing on the walls.
"Great option in Geneva"
Great place, very confortable, clean and cozy. Amazing location. Recommend to all. I did not had breakfast at the hotel but looked nice when we went by. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, would love to go back.
