"A Place of Character"
Beyond my most optimistic expectations of a 3-star hotel:classy ambience, chic room, super toiletries; treat-like breakfast/delicious food in a very wide range; welcoming and very helpful staff at both the reception desk and in the breakfast room; flawless wifi.Last but not least, the best possible location an addict sight-seer may wish for (easily within walking distance plenty of sites, shopping and eateries for every pocket, bus stops and the sight-seeing coaches just round the corner) Heartfelt thks P.S. Highly recommend Palace of Merced visit/fabulous Baroque indoor patio and the adjoining historical church Santa Maria - 2 weeks' advance application for visit is required; patio tour of San Basilio area starting from the Seville Gate and the flamenco show at tablao Cardenal, so different from the Granadan zambra flamencos.
"What a fabulous hotel!"
Wow, this place surpassed all expectations and helped make my first to Córdoba very special. We were welcomed in by a very friendly, professional young lady on reception who explained everything to us thoroughly and professionally, including the fact that we could get a free welcome drink because we booked through their own website. Our room, 106, was fabulous with probably the best view in town of the mesquita. Huge, with three balconies (even from the bathroom). Spotlessly clean and with a spa bath. We really didn't want to leave. There's parking right under the hotel which is a must if you have a car. Breakfast was great (as it is with all hotels in the Eurostars chain in our experience), until 11am at the weekend. The only downside was upon checkout where we were told by a young man on reception (who could do with lessons on service from his female colleagues) that we needed to move the car out of the garage as soon as possible. This was a real shame as we would have liked to have looked around the sites a bit more.
"Best location in town "
Best location in town however not well maintained, ask for first or second floor rooms otherwise it can be get noisy and dark. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Standard breakfast and variety restaurants and shops nearby. Just a few steps from main touristic attractions. If you get a good rate it is a good deal for a short stay.
"Don’t stay here"
I’ve stayed at several Eurostars hotels before. This was probably the worst. The lobby is nice, but that’s about it. The rooms are tiny and old. The mattress was the most uncomfortable we slept in during our 9 day trip to Spain. For the price, I’m sure there are better options. Good location for the tourist sites, but it’s also very loud.
"Good location but impersonal"
We stayed there two nights. It's best located to visits the mezquita early in the morning. Breakfast is average. Ok service, but any question beyond facilities and check-in / check-out will meet pretty busy front desk service personnel. They have a weird booking system that every now and then checked out your key cards and we had to get new ones done again. The hotel is very noisy inside and you can hardly get to spleen without earplugs as someone not so smart had the idea to put stone floor on all corridors without insulating the room doors, hence you hear EVERYTHING from your room neighbors and people on the corridors. At the check-out, the staff didn't even ask if we enjoyed our stay which was exemplifying for the overall customer orientation of this hotel, not even a goodby. They have so many guest that they really don't seem to bother. Not knowing other hotels in Cordoba I am somewhat undecided if I should recommend staying there. It was however very clean.
