"Good Loacation, Nice Kitchen"
Stayed here just one night (this time, been there before). My wife and I like to disappear into the city every so often for a night away. We do a bit of shopping, then visit some favourite haunts. This hotel is close to most of what we like. The restaurants and St. Lawrence Market are in walking distance. This time we took a cab to Queen West for daytime shopping, and it was less than $10. The room was nice, large enough, clean, and pretty quiet. The Kitchen was well appointed and suitable for a longer stay ... not that we have much cause to use it. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The access was a bit funky to find, but that is because it is on a side street. That's good to limit the noise factor. There was construction on the street, but that should disappear at some point. Parking onsite is a bit expensive, but not out of line for downtown. Toronto.
"Well appointed, centrally located"
We picked a hotel that was close to everything. The price was great. The rooms here are small, but they made excellent use of the space. The kitchen area with a little bar space was great and would be perfect for someone staying who wants to cook. With the St Lawrence Market only a few blocks away, it would be ideal. Washing machine in the room allowed us to go home with clean clothes. The finishes were great and overall a nice place to stay. The staff was super friendly and happy. They were super nice!
"Clean, Nice Staff, Good For Long Stays"
I stayed here for two nights on a recent business trip and had an excellent stay. The front desk staff were very pleasant and checked me in quickly. The suite I stayed in was very clean and had a separate bedroom, making it feel almost like an apartment; I would recommend this hotel for longer stays. Having a kitchenette is great if you want to prepare some of your own meals to skip out on heavy restaurant food. Overall, a tidy, good value stay in the heart of the business district.
"Don't judge a book by its cover (or a hotel by its exterior)"
I typically stay at one of the larger hotels near the convention center, but I found a great deal on The Executive Cosmopolitan and figured I'd give it a shot. I'll admit, I was skeptical when I arrived as the location is a side street that I was not familiar with, and the lobby was very small. But the room was amazing - more of a condo set up than a hotel room, with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and small living area/ kitchen combo. The staff was very friendly, security is excellent (a room key required to go up the elevator), and the room was so clean! I rated a 4 instead of a 5 because of the noise. Not the hotel's fault, but the sound of each siren, garbage truck and loud car that passed by echoed through the room (even on the 12th floor.) Probably not an issue for people from larger cities though.
"Felt like home in Toronto"
The boyfriend and I decided to take a relaxing "staycation" in Toronto, and we decided to get a hotel to make it feel more like a trip. The lady at the front desk was really friendly and cheerful, so that was a good start. We had a corner one-bedroom tranquility suite/apartment, so our balcony was larger than some of the other rooms. It was clean, spacious, and had a great layout. The robes and bed were insanely comfortable (there is something about hotel beds and hotel robes!). Would have been nice to get slippers too ;) The location is also awesome for going anywhere downtown - it's a short walk to a TTC/subway station or you can hail down a cab from Yonge or King st. Overall I would love to stay here again!
