"Great trip all-in-all"
Had a wonderful trip to Cairo, and JW Marriott was a great hotel. The hotel was clean, as well as the rooms. We worked with a great concierge(Salim) who did everything he could to help us with our tours, and was able to get Marwa as a tour guide who was fantastic. Only issue is how far the hotel is from all of the attractions to the area(30-60 minutes). That said I'd still come back and stay again.
"Luxury to a great extent"
JW Marriott is well known for its luxurious venues, specially this one at Cairo. It is suitably located next to most of the important locations in Cairo. Also, the facilities presented are having diversity of good services. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The meeting rooms are always well prepared for meetings, conferences, wedding receptions... Etc. The quality of food is really amazing. The only thing is that it is really high priced compared to other hotela in the same area, yet still it is highly recommended for luxurious visits or business meetings.
Services at this hotel are at high standards. The property is very large with pools (including a wave pool) with different restaurants. Rooms are large with classic furniture with large bathrooms. Close to airport and hotel could arrange for you transfer (if requested) . Free Wi-Fi with decent speed, even in the booking system I was using was not specified. A funny story at this hotel, at Ahlein Lebanese restaurant where you receive from the house a large bowl of whole vegetables... you need to figure out how to cut them to be able to eat...The salmon served at Plateau restaurant was dry and overcooked. Overall a bit disappointed about the restaurants, I would expect more from Marriott chefs... It's not bad, but is quite average...Anyhow is an amazing hotel with all facilities (it's a town) and definitely a place to stay and recommend in Cairo.
I did have a excellent stay as the Hotel was very courteous for my room choice and I had a complementary pick up service at the Airport coming in. The Hotel offers everything in one place. Sport, Golf swimming, via shopping and hairdresser etc. Transportation however is a bit of a problem in Cairo. There are no official taxis in the vicinity of the Hotel and to call one it takes 15 plus minutes to arrive during the night impossible. shuttle bus to the airport is available on the hour. What I sbeing put opon the guest is a private rental7 car limousine service that is n-times to expensive. A 50-80 pounds ride to the airport was tried to be charged to me a 450 Pounds because it was at night. That was a downside. The Hotel does have a executive lounge and floor. I will be back again
JW lives up to its name and is a beautiful property and quite large too. The service is excellent and I must commend the person who cam for the airport meet & greet. Excllent customer service and very helpful. Stayed in poolside cabana which is simply amazing as it opens out directly onto the pool and also has a small patio. But the noise can be disturbing somewhat as throughout the night there were some kind of noises which can disturb your sleep. Overall and amazing hotel and definitely recommended
