"Avoid as you can"
The exterior and the lobby looks good , despite been frisked by hotel security using their barehands every time you enter , then when you go to the rooms , it’s a different story The carpets in the corridor are very very old , lost their color already Room Old furniture, out dated , clean to be honest Toilet Very very outdated , 1980 styles Breakfast buffet Well that is for a 2 star hotel max ! And the guy who does your omelette has other two things to do alone , so he is slow , and to be faster he doesn’t mind using his barehands to add stuff to your omelette, not even a spoon !!! You could sit there for an hour and the only available waiter will not even make an effort to ask you if you need something ( normal for 5 star hotels ) Disturbance A disco night on the 20th floor with goes on to 3 am ! Voice very high in any place in the hotel , reception replied to my complain by sorry , it will end soon ! Strangest thing ever , when an employee from the hotel was at my door asking if the guest in the neighboring room was at my room because they cannot find him !!!!!
"Not lookes like pictures "
After two nights at this hotel, Don't stay ,,,, rooms does not looks like pictures!! Very old rooms and bathroom, not clean,,,I booked with dinner but thy tried to charge me dinner again!! Service is very poor ... It's not 5 stars,,
We stayed in the hotel for a business trip and were there for 3 nights. I don’t know the price/rate for the hotel but it is listed at 5* so i assume it is not cheap. The lobby is fairly grand and a nice welcome however the rooms are outdated and, in particular, the bathrooms are old and in need of an update. Sufficient enough, but just not luxury in any way. The decor is in terrible condition. The beds are comfortable. The first morning I ordered breakfast to my room and it was practically inedible - cold and just very unappetising as if it had been taken from the left overs of the buffet. The second morning I ate at the buffet and it was also just very average. After breakfast I asked at reception for some water and was told to go to the bar and buy a bottle in there. I was surprised as most hotels give water as complimentary. We ate one evening in the Traders Vic restaurant and it was quite good. The piano bar is nicer and much more classy and relaxing. My colleague had the club sandwich and said it was very good. The valet parking was a nightmare. I believe there was a wedding and a big meeting on in the hotel but this led to chaos at the valet and we waited a good 45 minutes for our car to come and I also felt like some other customers were being prioritised over us despite us asking many times when the car was coming. The elevators take a long time to come and were sometimes out of order and so we had to wait a long time. So all-in-all the hotel was ok, but not great. It was my first trip to Amman and I have not tried other hotels there but I would not choose to stay there again in future.
"Your second home in Jordan"
Nice clean and spacious rooms. Excellent location near the center of Amman. Nice restaurants and attractions with varieties. Nice breakfast buffet with large selection. Very friendly and helpful staff that make you feel at home. Professional service fit for 5 stars hotel.
"Comfortable Convenient and Central"
The Regency Palace Hotel Amman is a big property located on Queen Alia Street, a very busy location in the capital city of Amman. We were there for 8 nights (13-20 August 2017) and quite liked the ambience; though it had its share of blips ! Since the Asian junior squash games were being held in Amman and this particular hotel was chosen to be the tournament hotel, there were players from multiple Asian countries and their team members staying here. Obviously the crowd was too large for the management to handle seamlessly the very first day. We were allotted rooms which were already occupied by other guests. We had to request reception for different rooms , which had to be done totally 3 times as total confusion prevailed at the hotel's end. I have not seen such pandemonium in any other tournament hotel where we have stayed anywhere in India or in the world. Finally, after 180 minutes since arrival, we got our rooms ! The higher floor rooms have a great view of Amman especially the East facing ones. Vast openness welcomes you as you stand in the little balcony attached to the room. The rooms are large, attractive and have large cupboards and safe keeping vaults. The air conditioning inside the rooms is perfect and is very effective in shielding you from the extreme heat outside. The noise level is drastically cut down when the balcony windows are shut. However, it is natural to hear the cars zooming below if the windows are open. The bathrooms are old-fashioned but very well equipped with all the toiletries and necessary equipment. The rooms are large and airy (I was given a room on the 15th floor, so it was bright and cheerful). Housekeeping is done regularly in the rooms, though what I felt that the carpet in the restaurant was fairly sticky making my rubber soles squeak and stick onto the marble flooring outside, after every visit to the restaurant. The restaurant serves a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes - Mostly Mediterranean. What was sorely missing however was fruits ! There were no fresh fruits at breakfast on any of the 8 days that we stayed there. There are live counters for egg preparations also. However, it is exactly the same menu every single day with absolutely no variations at all. Dinner is priced at JD15 per head - a tad steep. Free wi-fi is available in the hotel and inside your rooms too. The TV only telecasts primarily Arabic channels , thus restricting viewing for non-Arabic guests. What I admired were the laundry services here. Very reasonably priced and very clean. My white clothes looked even whiter and cleaner than ever before ! Mineral water bottles are restricted to only 2 bottles (of 1 litre each) per room per day. Requests for extra water bottles fetched us only 330 ml bottles which were not enough for sports people whose fluid requirement is much higher than normal. The hotel has an enormous banquet hall on the 20th floor adjoining the swimming pool and the ambience there is really very good. The Jordan squash federation had hosted a closing ceremony there and it was by far, the best experience ever ! The hotel had arranged for a mind-boggling spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes which were extremely tasty and had us asking for more. Overall, a beautiful experience !
