We only stayed one night here before going to Aswan. It is very luxurious but I felt lacked a bit of warmth. Super clean and big room. Staff were polite and helpful. Central location with great view of the Nile. Great to have stayed here but would probably not stay here again.
"Excellent Hotel "
What an amazing experience. We arrived on the 26 Dec 2017 The Four Seasons picked up from the airport, we were picked up in style. Mercedes Benz V-Class. We then got to the hotel Oh my Goodness so smart, and such a warm welcome. We were taken straight to our Suite room 1414, by Elena she was so welcoming. Treated us with royalty. We booked the Executive suite and a Superior Room. The Suite was spacious very neat and well designed, it had a feeling of comfort and luxury. Huge Master bedroom, two bathrooms, dinning room, lounge and a lovely balcony. Over looking the city. We had a 360' view once side we could see the Giza pyramids in the distance and the other we could see the Nile. The staff was very helpful in everything we asked. We also booked a Private Tour with the concierge desk. Firstly they gave us the Mercedes Benz v- class again which was very luxurious car to have a private tour. As I love luxury. The Driver Ally was superb he was amazing. They also gave us a wonderful tour guide her name was Doaa. Very helpful, explained everything on the tour. She took us everywhere we wanted. If you want a tour guide of Egypt contact her. Why I love booking a private tour and what I love about a tour like this, that it's only you and your family. Not a whole group of people. After the tour we myself and my wife went to the spa, it was lovely. Once again the staff at spa was so warming and helpful. Unfortunately on the 28 Dec 2017 we had to check out, didn't want to leave. Check out was so easy and hassle free, and the hotel took us back to the airport, we requested for Ally to take us as he was so friendly. My overall experience at The Four Season Hotel Cairo at the First Residence. Was amazing. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to friends and family who go to Cairo. You have to stay at this Hotel. The hotel and Staff all deserve a 10/10 Elena and all Keep up the great work. Thank you Four Seasons Cairo
"Something is missing…….."
After the cruise from Aswan to Luxor we spent three days in Cairo. After the relaxing cruise it was quite a change. Fortunately we had an incredibly capable Egyptologist making the tour of the City with us. And that was the important part of the trip. We could have done with a better hotel experience however. We had problems when we checked in, (one of the two rooms we were given was different from the one we had booked), no service directory is available in the room, there are three restaurants, all with high prices and of just medium quality, plus a number of other small things that did not fit in. Of course we survived quite well. But you would expect better things from a Four Seasons, even if a difficult city like Cairo.
The service at this property is nothing short of exceptional. Tamer, the Chief Concierge organised all of our transfers for limos, trains and coordinated with the FS San Stefano. He even noted we had accidentally booked the wrong dates at their sister property and rectified for us. Prior to check in I had tried to call the Beymen department store to see if they had a pair of Gucci sneakers in stock but they didn't understand me in English or Arabic. I asked Tamer if he could check sending him an image and the link to the product on Gucci's website. I was amazed that he went to the mall downstairs and personally photographed all of the Gucci sneakers available and had his Chief Concierge at the FS Nile Plaza do the same at Beymen. He even provided me the urls where I could purchase them as well. Never have I had a Concierge go so far above and beyond. We were escorted from the limo to our preferred Diplomatic Suite for private in room checkin. It is still stunning with the Great Pyramids of Giza view as well as the Nile and the Zoo and two balconies. The access to the First Mall is great, especially as I always visit Emporio Armani downstairs. We had a very young man deliver the fruit plate to the room called Islam. Despite his age he was eager to serve and when he noticed we had drunk a lot of bottled water and Earl Grey tea he immediately went to fetch more without asking. Farhana of Guest Services always greets us and makes us feel at home. They have also built glass cabanas by the pool for day and night use with their own TVs where you can order drinks, food and Sheesha. The hotel has commisioned it's own Super Yacht that will have 3 new restaurants, banquet rooms as well as a rooftop pool. It looks lux! Having seen the rooms at the FS Nile Plaza and now stayed at the Ritz there is no comparison. Everything about this property is outstanding, especially the service. We stayed our final night at the Ritz Carlton and it is a terrible property with people loitering in the lobby and it still the basic remnants of the Nile Hilton. They try hard but the common areas are still from the 1980s. As the FS staff told us, we would definitely be back. The hotel is an oasis of calm, drenched in the most beautiful flowers and gorgeous common areas. We will never try another property ever again. It's the people that make a hotel and they honestly make it feel like a home away from home. The Ritz was double the price and despite being upgraded to the Presidential Suite we will never return. The FS FR is the best in Egypt and one of the best in the World. I cannot recommend it more highly.
"Perfect hotel, slightly isolated"
The hotel and service are flawless, perfect. My only issue is that next time, I will choose a hotel near Tahrir Square or Zamalek, where you can walk around a little. Even though this location is "central", it is not possible to walk around comfortably in this area due to garbage, traffic, lack of interesting shops or restaurants on the street, etc.
