We just spent 5 nights at this incredible hotel! The staff is so proactive - personalizing your experience without being intrusive. It is such a calm and relaxing oasis hidden away in the oldest historical area of Istanbul! It was very difficult to have to leave!
"Consistent excellence , each stay better and better"
Having stayed at this hotel on over 7 occasions in the past years , this establishment never ceases to impress me. The staff are courteous , polite and ever willing to assist . The rooms are charming and suite bathrooms and 3rd floor rooms offer spectacular views. Our recent trip was with the whole family and even though we were a large group every detail was seen too. The kids were treated to lovely novelty gifts , warm milk was brought up to them each evening and sweet treat surprises left for them after the room was serviced each day . The room allocated to my sister who has two small children was childproofed in that plastic cornices were attached to all sharp corners . Special mini robes and slippers were left for them to use after bathing and a mini stool left at the basin so they could reach up to the pedestal height. Each evening a bottle water ( in the shape of a character was left for each child ). The waffles at breakfast ❤️.All in all I can't fault this establishment on any front .Superb in every sense of the word.
"A very enjoyable experience"
The Four Seasons Hotel fulfilled all our expectations. The hotel is beautiful and conveniently situated near the major sightseeing spots, which is a blessing considering the traffic in this city. The attention and care of the staff, and especially the concierge were absolutely superb, his recommendations and advice spot-on and his interest in our well-being and satisfaction more than remarkable. A delight to have been guests here and will repeat the experience!
This hotel is in a perfect location close to everything you want to see in Istanbul. All the staff were excellent. They just need to review their prices for meal as there are so many good places to eat near the hotel. The call to prayer early in the morning can be a distraction
"Poor First Impression"
After a long day of traveling and an hour long Uber ride from the airport, we arrived at the hotel at about 7:00pm. We were checked in by a very friendly but very chatty front desk clerk. Normally chatty would be fine but she was a little difficult to understand so it was tedious. She actually continued to chat all the way to the room walking backwards all the way. When we got to the room, still chatting, we noticed a drip coming through the ceiling and wet carpet. She actually pointed it out to us and continued to babble. We suggested changing rooms. She said we should wait in the room and she would go and find out if someone could fix the leak or she would look for another room. That's where things became really irritating. I understand, things break down, need fixing etc. but don't leave your newly checked in guests in a room wondering whether they are going to move rooms or be treated to a demonstration by the hotel maintenance staff! She left, a few minutes later the bags arrived. We told the guy who brought the bags and asked him to wait. A few minutes later another guy arrived with a ladder and proceeded to open up the ceiling! We walked out at that point and went back to the front desk. There was a bit of confusion and the result is that we are now waiting for another room. It would have been nice to be able to freshen up before dinner but the front desk clerk thought we should eat, so that's where we are! In all fairness, she was trying to be nice but I think it would have been more appropriate to have left the room with us immediately when she saw the leak. People checking in after long flights are likely to be tired, wanting to freshen up. I rarely write bad reviews but this experience was not what I was expecting from the Four Seasons.
