"Quiet & Comfortable"
Just two nights in this hotel, but I'd have happily stayed longer. Check-in was fast and efficient. In fact, the front-desk team are great, even to the point of greeting me by name as I walked past a day later. My room was high, distant from busy Kent Street, and relatively quiet. The window could be opened, but when shut blocked street noise very well. Room-to-room noise was never evident. The room was well equipped, including a microwave oven, a sink, and a small set of crockery and cutlery. The mini fridge was VERY mini, but still had room for a couple of cold drinks. The iron and ironing board were in good condition, and the right size for a business traveller. The desk and chair were OK ... the desk was perhaps a little too high for the chair ... but power points were easy to find. Internet was included in my booking, and was good speed. The bed was comfortable and well made. A large bathroom finished off the room. Good amenities, hot water, and enough of it for a good shower. A bonus with this hotel is its proximity to Sussex and Dixon Streets. If you like Asian food, you're surrounded by quality Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese eating at price points to match any wallet. Definitely recommended.
I was initially pleased with the accommodation; nice and tidy when I arrived, polite staff, beautiful room. However my stay was negatively impacted by the housekeeping. One morning I used a spoon for my breakfast, and placed it in the sink still dirty, planning to wash it later. When I returned to my room that evening, the spoon had been put back in the cutlery drawer, still obviously dirty with food still on it (was used for yoghurt and one side of the spoon was actually still coated in now dry yoghurt). This unfortunately led me to question whether it was usual practice for housekeeping staff to put dirty dishes straight back into the drawers without being washed, and then I felt too uncomfortable to use any of the other cutlery/dishes due to significant hygiene concerns - I did not know if the other dishes had been washed after their last use. This is a signifcant health hazard and I was appalled by this. I also returned to my room one evening to find a pile of sheets sitting on the couch, ruffled up so I assume they had been removed from a bed (I hope it was my bed and they were not transferred from another room!!). I left the sheets where they were when I went out the following day, but then returned the next evening to find they were STILL sitting on the couch (despite housekeeping having clearly been as the towels had been replaced). I ended up having to take these 'used sheets down to reception to get rid of them. I also found this unacceptable. Sauna did not work. When paying $300-400+ per night to stay in a hotel, this is not the kind of quality I would expect.
"Modern service apartment"
Affordable, excellent location, friendly staffs, great amenities, one of the best hotel in Sydney. However, I had twice the bad experience during my 2 different stay in this hotel, the house keepers opened your door or reception rang you multiple times from 11am until you check out, despite they had agreed to let me check out at 12pm
Honestly could not fault a single thing the staff were amazing and i mean beyond amazing going that extra mile for us really making our stay the best it can be would totally recommend this place to others
Stayed one night and found everything simply ideal. Great location, great amenities, and well priced. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. In room dining menu covered all culinary needs. Will absolutely stay here again.
