"Scores on location"
My wife and I chose to stay in this joint after reviewing several other options which offered beach access and a nice swimming pool. Stayed here from 11 – 14 Sep 2017. The rate is reasonable for the 4-star hotel, but the maintenance of the place could be improved. When we arrived late in the evening, our driver drove past the hotel and missed the inconspicuous signboard of the hotel. The service staff were friendly, however the reception area was dark and not impressive and so was the hotel façade. Check-in was relatively fast but due to overwhelming demand for the 1-room suite that we originally booked, we were offered a free upgrade to a 2-room suite. Once past the uninspiring reception, we noticed that the hotel compound is surprisingly pleasant and each unit nicely spaced out from one another. All the units had many glass walls and understandably there are many layers of roller blinds in each unit to preserve your privacy. A two hob induction cooker, a kettle and a fridge is provided in the unit. Generally the rooms are big and linens are clean, Wi-Fi and air-conditioning worked but the bathroom faucets are in need of an update. If there is one gripe that bugs me a lot is that the shower does not have a good water pressure and it is a challenge trying to control the temperature of the water trickling out from the shower. We never had a good bath during our 4 days stay. After sampling the food outside the hotel area, we did conclude that the DECK, which is the only restaurant in the hotel, does cook up some nice food and is reasonably priced too. Being an open concept dining area and elevated, we enjoyed our meals while watching sunset. The shape of the swimming pool was a bit awkward and does feel claustrophobic when there are more than 10 guests in it. It also has glass side panels adjoining the reception area. During the day, anyone sitting at the reception area could see the layer of grime and dirt on the pool side of the glass panels, we lost our desire to swim. We noticed that the beach in front of our hotel is more suited for surfers than swimmers. Although this hotel is located in the quiet part of the Seminyak and the Legian beach is just across the road, you seem to feel the vibes from the surfing activities here. Trying to swim among the numerous learner surfers is not a good idea. We explored the area around our hotel and found that the bustling shopping strip in Seminyak was about 15 minutes’ walk away. Making a trip there meant jostling with the hordes of pedestrians and vehicular traffic along the narrow roads. Coming back to hotel, you cannot help but notice how peaceful the area around the hotel is. If you prefer to shop in a more comfortable environment, you can also head for the more contemporary shops in KUTA’s BEACHWALK shopping centre which is a leisurely 20 minutes’ walk from the hotel along the beach. This hotel’s location is central to most attraction and provides a nice experience but most probably will not return again.
"Perfect base for Seminyak"
Staying here with my boyfriend. Staff are so lovely and friendly. Pool is ideal, plenty of sun loungers and well spread out so you don't feel on top of people. Rooms are spotless and cleaned twice daily if you want. Great location as it's directly across from Double Six Beach - with access to all the colourful bars with their bean bags and music. We had the satay in the restaurant on the first day and we weren't particularly gone on it, otherwise I would of given this place 5/5! Plenty of food places around. And for accommodation it's great value for money.
"We'll be back....again, and again : )"
We stayed here back in 2015 and returned again this year, and I still love the place! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a 3-Bedroom apartment with ocean views, which the kids loved, and we did too! The staff here are amazingly helpful and friendly, the food is fantastic and well priced. I am already missing my amazing breakfasts - although my waistline is not!! We pretty much ate all our meals there or at the Barrel Bar downstairs. Yes it is a bit dated on the outside, but the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Our apartment was great with no issues and super clean. The price is fantastic for what you get, no it's no super resort, but that is the way we like it. See you again in 2019!
"First timers to Bali"
Whilst FURAMA is an older hotel and requires a bit of maintenance it is very clean and in a great location. We had a two bedroom ocean front room 401 and it was amazing, the baloney was huge! The staff are amazing especially Nata and Sugik (hope I got the names right) they go above and beyond for the guests, so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble.
"Always enjoy it here"
Just about to leave "our bali home". We have had a wonderful holiday and the staff are our "bali family". The position and the staff make this place. Right on the beach, large rooms and airy and bright. Yes getting a bit tired but a big renovation project is in place and commence soon. Any problem is immediately attended to. Thankyou Novi and Widia for all that was done for us. Cant praise your staff enough. What a great asset to Furama. Perfect weather, family, and Bali family. Who could ask for more. Already booked again for next year.
