"Great service and wonderful time!"
Everything about my stay at the Galeria Plaza was first class, from the restaurant to the bar, to the hotel service! I stayed on the 4th floor, am a light sleeper, and construction was happening across the street....no problemo! While I only ate 2 meals at the hotel, both were wonderful and reasonable. Shame on the person that griped about service on the 19th! I mean, there was an earthquake, and everything was closed or busy. They took very good care of us during this trying time and kept us informed. Even though certain things such as hotel laundry were unavailable, we were safe and all was good. I highly recommend this hotel! If you want luxury, this may not be for you, but if you want quality, location, and great service all around, give this place a chance! Thanks for a great vacation, and God bless Mexico!
This wonderful establishment caters to all travellers in all aspects, the staff are extremely attentive and legitimately willing to assist with everything. I highly recommend this hotel to all be it used for busimess or leisure.
"Incompetent management "
We waited for ages to get a table in the restaurant. Managers had no system for assigning tables; there was a lot of yelling and arm waving to little effect. They scribbled room numbers on bits of paper and gave tables to Spanish speakers first. There was no explanation as to how long we would wait or how tables were assigned. The food is average at best. There are better restaurants to dine at in the neighbourhood.
"Home away from Home"
I selected this hotel several months ago as my home base for my business needs. I have since returned numerous times.over the past three months for pleasure. I can't express how welcome I feel each time I walk through the doors of this fabulous hotel. The staff are warm, attentive and sincere. I have stayed in several rooms here on different floors and found each one to be as comfortable as the last. This hotel will always be my home away from home when I visit Mexico City.
They had all i needed. A map, coffee pot, fridge, tub, maid, chef and the Chepultapec park with museums, zoo, botanical gardens, street shopping, outdoor eating and an aquarium not far off (Polanco). Spanish lessons are available, check -on-line. The museums are closed Mondays and Holidays. They have pyramid tours and taxi's out front. I almost made it to the roof pool.
