Location perfect. Facilities are more than enough. Staff very well trained and with good skills to attend people. It's a good combination for a visitor in the city - good rooms and staffs giving attention.
"Tremendous Experience in all Aspects"
My business colleague recommended this hotel for my recent business trip to Sao Paulo. Since there were branded hotels like Sheraton and Hilton nearby, I was hesitant - mostly about losing the points. However, I decided to take the recommendation and booked my stay here (4 nights). I was not disappointed. The room was a good size and well appointed. The staff was exceptionally attentive (without smothering), efficient, and genuinely warm to the guests. As a bonus, the food was very good. An excellent breakfast buffet. I also ate dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was top notch. This is not a luxury hotel by any means, but is one of the best values I have seen in my 30 years of business travel.
"Nice for Family Weekends"
Hotel has a great location, on weekends great rates, hotel was almost empty, beautifull place for breakfast, huge breakfast, extremally clean would return with my family, bathroon is spacius, very friendly staff
"Boutique-like Customer Care"
The Gran Estanplaza is my first choice in Sao Paulo due to its great location and personalized attention. Although it is a large hotel, its customer care is more akin to a quality boutique hotel. Examples include a personal note in my room welcoming me back to the hotel; a personal welcome from the restaurant staff when I came to breakfast telling me they were glad to see me back again; a special treat in my room from the housekeeping staff reminding me to let them know if there is anything I need. The rooms are comfortable, modern and larger than average. One item I especially appreciate is that the exercise room is not in the basement but on the top floor with plenty of light and a nice view of the city. The only negative I've experienced is that the ventilation system in the room was tricky to determine if it was on or off (no indicator light) and the heat function was ineffective on the one cold day during my stay. The breakfast is abundant with plenty of fresh fruit, juice, baked goods, and hot entree selections. Finally, the in-room WiFi internet was fast and dependable...much better than the meagre internet service I find in most European hotels.
"Great hotel overall, minor issues"
A beautiful hotel with very nice furnishings, very classy, charming. Very helpful staff, most of the time. An absolutely wonderful breakfast experience (even live piano) which made up for the relatively small issues I had during my stay. Upon arrival at 8 am I was informed that my room would not be ready till about 11, which is not unusual in itself. Apparently the hotel was fully booked. I tried hard to get access to the room after a 24 hour long set of flights. While I was checking in, someone else was checking out but I was not offered his room. Instead, I was sent to the gym, and had to take a shower, open my luggage and change into a suit in a very small restroom area with a totally wet floor, shared with 5-10 other guys who had just used the gym. Hotels of this caliber should be more prepared to provide temporary assistance to overseas travelers, since they know that all international flights arrive in Brazil early morning. Otherwise, no issues for the rest of the stay.
