One of the best hotels with a very nice roof terras / dining / breakfast.Comment of M. Boudewijn , Netherlands the 2017-01-25
"Modern luxury "
This hotel is modern, stylish and of course right opposite the Guggenheim. However the best thing is the charm and helpfulness of the staff. We arrived early off the ferry and within an hour they had found us a room. The rooftop terrace for breakfast with views of the museum is also a delight
"Housekeeping Left My Room Open"
I went out to explore the city, and when I returned to my room in the early evening, the door to my room was open. Housekeeping had come by for turndown service and left the door ajar. I went downstairs to complain to the front desk, and the woman apologized and told me that she'd talk to the housekeeper. Nothing more. The room (#613) is directly in front of the elevators. Anyone coming off the elevators could have walked in and stolen my laptop. Also the Internet connection was very intermittent. I thought it might just be on my floor, so I walked to the lobby with my laptop, and it was the same. Although the WiFi signal was strong, the actual connection to the Internet kept coming in and out. The hotel facility is very nice and it's right next to the Guggenheim, so that's definitely a plus. But I had a very mediocre experience.
Excellent central location directly opposite the Guggenheim. First-class staff who were friendly, helpful and efficient at all times. Double room overlooked Lersundi Kalea. Didn't eat at the hotel but the roof terrace bar overlooking the museum is an absolute must.
My husband and I recently stayed here as part of a tour group. The location of the hotel is perfect: directly across the street from the Guggenheim Museum and near the streetcar to visit the lovely old city. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed and a wonderful view of the museum. The bath is large and modern with a deep soaking tub. There is a glass wall but it has remote controlled blinds. A fabulous breakfast buffet is served on the top floor with seating either inside or out with a beautiful view. The breakfast selections were delicious and plentiful. Everyone was very friendly. We would certainly recommend this hotel!
Nice sculptures dotted around the hotel. Great location, we had a room with a view of the Guggenheim ( fabulous art museum). The room was a little dark, no wow factor. But the bath was lovely. It has a big clear glass wall, no privacy. We thought the glass would go opaque or something but no... you're fully exposed to whoever is in the bedroom. Luckily I was with my husband 😀 So definitely not a room for sharing with friends. Not sure what the other rooms are like Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Pleasant enough hotel, clean and convenient. Other than that, not much to say.
