"*THE* place for a family vacation"
let's start with the amazing water-park that is part of the hotel - it's getting you addicted! there can be storms and rain outside, but the indoor water-park keeps you warm. there is also a nice cafeteria in the water-park with good foods and drinks for a more than a fair price. There are several pools, indoor and outdoor, with different water temperatures, so everyone will find what they want... And also the SPA is excellent. all of it. The food was ok, not "gourmet", but nothing bad to write about. The dinning room itself was crowded on dinners, so you should come early, otherwise you'll stand in line for 10minutes (which seems like eternity when you're hungry)... There is a free shuttle that going from just outside of the hotel (3 minutes of walking to the main road) to the main square of Budapest (Heroes square) and vice versa... If you intend to use the shuttle to comeback to the hotel, then note that the last shuttle (~17:30) is very busy, so you can find yourself standing all ~30minutes way back (but it's better than the 80EURO taxi that you'll take instead). The hotel staff is very good - ready to help for any request you have and also ready to recommend and to setup some deals and trips that you can take, in the city and also outside. Can't say anything about the rooms, as we were hardly in the room, but it was very clean and the room's facility were outstanding. In total, it was a great vacation that absolutely justify the money and I'm sure we'll be coming back to this hotel (hopefully even this year :-))... Enjoy
"Nice, but overpriced and problems with their bookings"
Overall: The hotel is well kept, staff friendly and speaks relatively good English. It is basically a run of the mill resort hotel on the outskirts of Budapest. I suppose most people book the hotel with the waterpark in mind. If you really like waterparks and plan to spend 4-5 days in the waterpark, then the hotel may be a good choice. We had an apartment, rather spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cleaning standard was mediocre. The breakfast buffet was quite good with a large selection of both traditional continental style breakfast options as well as more healthy options. The evening buffet is quite mediocre and rather expensive (6000HUF excl. beverages) although children under 8 eat for free. But you could find rather good restaurants in Budapest for less. On a personal note the hotel had gotten our reservations wrong despite having sent us written confirmation beforehand. We had booked a family room, which at the time of arrival turned out to be unavailable. We were thus involuntarily"upgraded" to an apartment but at an increased price. Basically I resent hotels who cannot keep their records straight and passes the bill on the customers. Bottom line: Nice hotel if you want to spend a lot of time in Aquaworld. If you just want to spend a day or two at the Aquaworld I would recommend taking a taxi from your Budapest hotel (it's cheap, only 5000HUF), buy a day pass to the Aquaworld and go back in the evening to a nice restaurant in central Budapest and get your spa treatments at ie. Gellert Spa. Note that kids under 140cm cannot make full use of all the water slides.
"Definitely the best place for family with kids"
We went there with our 3 years old girl and before she went there she has afraid of water, but this time she spent 4 hrs just keep playing the slide and kids pool outside, and we definitely love the place because the facilities is good,so many things can do there and indoor and outdoor. I think next time we will visit there again. If possible stay one night there. There is free shuttle bus from city to there but you have to check the time schedule.
"Luxury vacation and accomodation"
The Aquaworld Resort Budapest, which several years before (7 or 8 years before) had the name "Ramada", it is located in the periphery of Buda part of Budapest and the location is near to the Danube River. The service is very nice and the meeting place is very comfortable for the events. The aqua part is the gem of the whole resort and very nice in entire city.
"Perfect 4 days"
I had 4 free days at my job. I choose this hotel with aquapark to spent the free days. We got a big room, big balcony with panoramic view. Food, pools...everything was perfect. Only bad thig: we stayed just 4 days.. :) My experience is the same for june 2016, when I was exactly 4 days.
