"You Need to Stay Here"
I am a very loyal member of another chain and I rarely deviate from staying there. However, a month or so back, I had to travel with a colleague and since they stayed at the Grand Hyatt, I did. From then on, this is the only place I will stay when I am in Jakarta. The SERVICE is nothing like anything I have experienced before. From the bell hops that greet you, to the greeters at the door, to the front deck, to the restaurants, to the gym managers, to the coffee shop, to the lounge, to the cleaning crew, it is really something that I recommend whole heartedly. Again, I am loyal to another chain, but not in Jakarta ... please stay here, it's a great experience.
"A beautiful reprieve in the heart of the city"
Grand Hyatt Jakarta is a beautiful oasis in the heart of a dynamic city. The ambiance, wellness and fitness facilities was the perfect unwind after a full business travel schedule in Asia. I found renewal and rejuvenation through the various treatments offered in Club Olympus, especially the body stretching. The pool side and the Grand Club were great spots to enjoy a beverage or a snack or even a meal and make new friends. .
"Dated 5 star hotel"
Hotel needs to be renovated badly. Aging deterioration of the facility clearly showed and AC system was only cool at the level of 1970s at all bedrooms, dining rooms and function rooms. Being attached to the shopping center is a plus. Until it's extensively renovated and revamped, It is more like a 4 star hotel. Not worth the price.

I have been staying many times at Grand Hyatt Jakarta, and always have good experience with this hotel and their staff, the room always neat and clean, with superb room amenities, the staff are excellent and professional, centrally located, integrated with shopping mall and entertainment spot
Room is old. Parking spot is practically nomexistent. When we tried to park, the attendant told us that almost all spots are reserved for diplomatic cars. So, where then is the spot for guests'! Service is sub-par, as too many of the employees are condescending, and they tend to judge people by their look and origin. Really need hard work on customer service. Even when queueing for check in, more important-looking people kept cutting my queue.
