very well-suited for business or for sight seeing with a central location in mind. very close to major commercial and offices. Wide range of restaurants and pubs to sample if you want to venture outside the hotel for your meals. easy tram and train access via flinders station
Was down for the win tv conference and emirate stakes day, Friday night in the Hyatt ball room was fantastic food delicious and band, mental as anything!! Was awesome. Rooms and bar great. Thank you 👍

High standard hotel and an easy choice for regular business travel. Always very accommodating if you have left anything at home. Location is perfect, staff are excellent and trip is always seamless when I stay at the Hyatt.
"Beautifully maintained luxury property in perfect location"
From the very friendly reception we had right at the front door by the concierge as he minor one is common in luxury hotels in Australia ice delivery to the room. There are no ice machines so you have to order from room service the wait is usually well over a half hour. We found an ice bucket and went to the restaurant overtime we needed ice.If you are getting ready to go out and want a drink by the time ice finally gets to your room you are ready to go out.Quite annoying. The bigger problem for us was the heating/air conditioning system. The fact that is broke down is not a problem, things happen. That Friday was particularly hot and the A/C was not working so we called maintenance, they came up very quickly. They fixed the problem , or so we thought, but, it was now 9:30 or so and too late to go out for dinner so we ordered in and went to bed. Sunday we were out for the day and when we returned to the hotel our A/C was raging and we could not turn it down or even off. We were tired and just went to bed, with extra clothes on, the room was about 14 degrees. The next morning we told the concierge and we had to stay out most of that day as they replaced the thermostat. A small issue related to that, when the computer running the A/C is out so is the electronic "Do not Disturb" sign and there is no door hanger type. We left the room for breakfast, thought wee had turned on the do not disturb light and when we returned the maid was making up the room, we had left jewelry out etc and were uncomfortable. That is how we found out the light was not working. As I said above, it is not a problem that things break down, the problem is that on check out nothing was said, no apology, no rebates, nothing. I went back to the concierge and said I was really surprised, especially considering we were there for a seven night stay and spent a lot of money that nothing was acknowledged. They called us back an hour later as we waited for our ride out to say they would take care of a dinner or something. Considering we were inconvenienced 3 days out of seven I would expect something to be done, the least one night rebated.As I said, the staff were all very friendly and there was nothing we needed that was not provided, but, the reaction to this situation is not the reaction of a luxury or 5 star property. I would definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel, I just wish it had been perfect.
Friendly efficient service dealing with a large number of delegates, comfortable accommodation and good conference facilities. Unfortunately not enough time to try pool and gym this visit. Excellent situation.
