"Staff's lack of service mentality shows thru and thru"
Just because you are in shorts and t-shirts doesn't mean customers should get less quality service. And this is precisely how I felt. I've had very different experience on my business trips. I wrote a feedback to their internal review and someone got back to me to follow up... but still, I think their service mentality has to change. I think it could be partially attributed to a cultural thing which I don't like about...but nonetheless it shouldn't even be a topic to be pointed out if the GH Hyatt Seoul is to maintain its high standards in caring for their repeat customers.
"Fabulous Breakfast Buffet"
Rooms are very nice with fabulous views of the city from the upper floors. One of the best breakfast buffets I've ever seen--includes typical breakfast items from UK, France, US, Korea. Concierge service was knowledgable and efficient.
"Best hotel i visted"
Great view from the window- view to the swimming pool and the city. Top customer service. Great location- in the middle of everything. Made my stay at Korea very pleasant! Will come back in the future!
Stayed here for 3 nights. Firstly this hotel is not "central" as you cannot just walk out of the hotel and find yourself close to shopping and scores of eateries. To all intents and purposes its location is problematical and you do find yourself a little isolated. Whilst I appreciate this is a 5 star hotel everything is over-the-top including the exorbitant cost of just about everything. Restaurant prices are outrageous. For example paying around $10 for a cup of coffee is extortionist I would certainly recommend another hotel nearer where the action is and closer to just about everything.
"East Wing only okay"
I stayed on a day rate today, for 6 hours. The rate was ~$115.00 plus tax, on the steep side but very close to the hotel. Check-in was fine. The room was fine, but a little musty and the furniture was rather old and dated. The toilet did not fully flush. Perhaps better to pay the extra and stay in the new west wing. When I went to leave, there was a concierge person waiting at the door to direct guests to the shuttle. I handed him the room key, told him I did not have anything from the mini-bar and no room service, and proceeded to get on to the bus. I was seated on the shuttle when another concierge came on to the bus, asked me if I had room service or used the mini bar ('), and had me sign a form with my email for billing purposes. They already had my email because I booked the whole thing through email because it was a day-room that I could not book on line. Both of those concierges, and a third luggage concierge, let the shuttle drive off during this very brief exchange (that I had already had with the first concierge). Unlikely I would stay again and, if I did, I would try the west wing.
