"Good hotel; feels older; needs renovation"
This was a good hotel. Very luxurious. Rooms were extra large and spacious. Too large in my opinion. Wasted space in foyer and living area. Bed was comfy. Restrooms were small and need major upgrades. Shower drain was slow so there was stagnant water. Property was beautiful but seems older. Room felt old and worn. For a Grand Intercontinental it needs to be renovated to fit modern tastes. Good location. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Recommend to all.
This hotel was generally very good! We got the junior suite and it was pretty huge. Underneath the hotel is a huge mall! Lots of shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet of the hotel also had a wide selection. The traffic within the area where the hotel is located is pretty bad during rush hour, but other than that, this is a great hotel. All the staff are kind and always helpful.
"Fantastic service on the 26th floor!"
My colleagues and I arrived in the evening and headed to the club lounge on the 26th floor for a snack before going to dinner. We received a warm welcome from the staff who showed us where to find an assortment of refreshments. Before the three of us knew it, we'd made a new friend named Yoo-gin "Stella" Kim. She lit up our evening with her beautiful smile, outstanding hospitality, conversation, laughter, and impromptu lessons in Korean culture and language. An evening the three of us will not forget and leaves us looking forward to our next stay!
"Exceptional Hotel and Service"
Excellent location for the needs of an exhibition happening at COEX - close enough (not even 10 minute walk) without being directly in it. Pleasant mall in the entire basement area with plenty of options for food or others if needed during the stay. The room was a suite and was very large and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and cared for every detail, even taking note of simple things like leaving extra water if they saw it was always out. Room service was good; not exceptional but convenient and mostly quick. Restaurant on the 34th floor was very nice. The gym and spa facilities are also very well equipped as well - it unfortunately does not offer 24 hour gym access so that was sometimes a bit challenging to manage the schedule. Check out was flawless as well - even when several separate receipts were required.
"Memorable stay and wonderful experience"
As a IHG Platinum Ambassador member, I had an amazing 4 nights paid stay in this luxury Seoul property, with excellent service from the Club Intercontinental associates from precheckin to checkout. Service: The Club Intercontinental provided us a luxury hotel within a luxury hotel concept that is certainly exclusive and the service rendered by the Club associates from precheckin to checkout is certainly best-in-class in terms of warmth and professionalism. Many thanks to Leah, Jenny, Alice and other club associates whom I have sadly not gotten your names. Room: We were delighted to have received a unique Club junior suite which is part of a Royal Suite. The decor was traditional, and very well maintained and the standard of housekeeping is excellent. This unique room comes with a huge bathroom, and a jacuzzi. Leah also kindly arranged a visit to other room types that we can consider for our next stay. Club Lounge facilities: The club lounge is gorgeously designed with ample seating room, and the air of exclusivity is well maintained. The food quality is amazing especially the melt-in-the-mouth steak cubes served during the cocktail hour and the delicious macaroons and biscottis available throughout the day. The fruit selection was of high quality as well. Of course, the location of this hotel is really great: Connected to the COEX complex and the Samseong subway line. Food offerings are readily available. We are already planning our next stay during the cherry blossom festival.
