this hotel is beautiful, staff were very helpful. We booked with half board, the food was good, evening meal served up to 10.00 pm. The only small down side is the hotel do not provide irons and they charge for the laundry service.Comment of M. Roy , United Kingdom the 2016-05-05
"Lovely Adult Only Hotel"
We recently stayed for 3nights at this hotel to celebrate our 10year wedding anniversary. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were met with a welcome drink, check-in was efficient and staff were excellent. Our room wasn't ready as we had flown out on the early morning flight from Stansted, but we were given access to a room to change and our baggage was stored until later. The hotel is lovely, white washed, bright, comfortable, friendly with an air of class too. Pool area has a nice atmosphere, there are things going on throughout the day should you wish to join in, but there is no pressure should you want to just relax with a book! Lunch is nice and reasonably priced in the pool snack bar. Breakfast & Evening meal was included in our half board, there is plenty on offer at both times, with fresh food constantly being cooked at the live station, as well as an array of buffet items. Drinks are all on a tab which you settle at the end of your stay. They are slightly more pricey than if you have a walk out. We didn't catch any evening entertainment, however it sounded fantastic and the reviews from others said we'd really missed a good show the previous night! Location wise, this hotel is at the end of Los Cristianos, with its promenade you can walk right the way around the coast. The roof terrace at this hotel is fantastic! We only ventured up on the final evening but wish we'd made use of it during the days! Lovely watching the sun go down with a cocktail! Will definitely we coming back to the H10 Big Sur, and also keen to try its sister hotels in other locations. Really have been impressed with this one! Perfect for any grown up getaway!
I stayed at H10 Lanzarote Princess in March so chose Big Sur for adults only and being H10. I have not been disappointed. It is a very friendly welcoming hotel. Very good service. Nothing is too much trouble. Had sea view room. Very clean and well equipped. Although alone I felt very secure and cared for. Would strongly recommend.
"Short Visit to La Gomera "
Have now tried this hotel twice, it is adults only, on the front in Los Cristiano’s. I cannot be too critical as Los Cristiano’s is what it is. The hotel has some old history and very well placed. The breakfast & half board option is excellent and should be considered if staying there. For us it breaks the long journey to La Gomera
"Boutique hotel with pleasant and relaxing ambience - good holiday choice"
We have visited Los Cristianos many times and stayed in apartments and villas with the family. This was our first visit since our children have grown up and we opted for an adult boutique hotel. We were very pleased with our choice. The ambience of the hotel was charming with blue and white decor with a nautical theme with elegant cream sofas and cushions . The 'cactus bar' was restful and cool. The pool (on the ground floor) and chill out areas (on the rooftop) were perfect for relaxing with choice of cabanas and sunbeds. The pools were cleaned at 8-930am and so no silly rushing down and putting towels on sunbeds allowed! We didn't have a problem getting beds at any time but did visit during off peak time. The staff were charming and tried very hard to make our stay enjoyable. The entertainment was excellent - pool biking and surf yoga were new to us and most of the evening music was good, especially Saturday night reggae. Very buzzy feel but didnt go on too late finished by 11pm. Food was plentiful and varied and prices not unreasonable in the bar considering the competition which is fierce around the resort. Rooms were comfortable with complimentary 1 litre of water and nespresso per day, kettle on request. Our chambermaid Anna was excellent and found us within 10m of check out with item left in the room before we departed - thanks Anna! We felt the sea view was really worth the cost, the rooms were well insulated and we didnt hear noise from the ferries. We would return; we were very favourably impressed.
