"Wonderful place to stay"
My husband and I recently stayed here on the club floor the staff at the desk looked after us the breakfast, morning, afternoon tea and drinks and canapés from 6.00 each evening were delicious. We felt very welcomed and fussed over during the entire stay. The gym is great very clean and the pool deck has amazing views over Hong Kong. This was our second time we have stayed while visiting HK thank you to all the staff who were so professional and helpful.
"Great place, Great location"
The hotel is a great place in terms of facilities. The Club floor rooms give you greater facilities, and are frankly worth the extra you pay for them. The buffet breakfast is a grand spread, but the staff around the buffet area are not the most polite. Be prepared to be told off, even for minor "offences" if you run afoul of their strictly ordered day. You can't get them to budge an inch out of their self-defined ways. More fun, and better service is to be had at the little corner bakery, where the sandwiches and cakes are warm, delicious and friendly - just like thee girls who prepare and serve them. The tea service here is reminiscent of the British days. A great place to stay, well worth every HK cent However, please do not use more than two WiFi devices - you get charged for every device more than that.
"Very smart hotel."
This is a classy welcoming hotel. The reception area and grand staircase are very impressive. My room was beautiful with as perfect a view of the HK Island skyline as you could wish for. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice for all tastes. The pool area has spectacular views, although rather small. The hotel has direct access to the waterfront promenade which is beautiful for walking. Location is good if you want to be in Kowloon, although if I was a first time visitor I would probably choose to stay on Hong Kong Island. All the staff I met were warm and helpful, and I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Very enjoyable stay.
"Quality and Value, 4.5. Huge bed! If location works...Just book it!"
VERY nice hotel. Maybe just a notch below the Ritz, Four Season, W, etc. Pros: 1. Large rooms with huge bed. Bed was close to 8ft wide. Big enough for 3 people. 2. Nicely appointed rooms. Very functional. Quiet. 3. Excellent pool and sunning area (but see below) 4. Huge buffet area with excellent choices. You can eat all day here. 5. Decent gym. 6. They keep this place clean. I like it. 7. On the waterfront walkway. Very well done. Cons: 1. Pool area could be noisy. Tour groups. Kids. The pool was one of the best pools I've been in HK. Very nice and great views. However, very noisy with lots of kids. Must of been a holiday' 2. Housekeeping seem a bit slow. Room was never made up until 2pm, which is ok for most work days. 3. Food is pricey (but good) 4. Construction for the next few months at the waterfront bar 5. You will need to walk a few blocks to get to the local restaurants. Not far but not next door like a lot of other hotels. 6. The location is mostly residential. Make sure this location is close to where you want to be. You will need to take a taxi or MTR to get anywhere.
"Very Good Hotel, good location"
Very good hotel for its price; very good location too. Decent breakfast buffet; room was spacious and had a very good view of the harbour; most staff were nice and helpful, made you feel welcome; will be on the list when we go back to HK.
