Comment of V. Eva , Spain the 2016-02-22
We came to Liverpool to see some music as part of the 50 year celebration. Having stayed at the Hard Days Night twice before and enjoyed the stay, we booed again. At nearly £130/night, we expected a good standard of room and service. Staff were friendly and hotel is clean and tidy. Room overlooked the main road and was very noisy throughout the night. We had no hot water in our room and had to call to ask reception what was wrong. Boiler had broken. No apology, no alternative. We waited for two hours, but still no water. We washed in basin with water boiled in kettle. When we checked out there was no apology, no offer of breakfast or compensation. Poor show all round really. Won't rush back.
We popped in to this lovely old hotel, nice doorman in attendance ,lots of stairs to climb to get to the front desk, staff very friendly and extremely efficient , We ordered roast beef sandwiches and tea, it arrived promptly sadly the sandwiches did not live up to standard of expectations as the bread was stale. Wake up chefs you need to do better as there is a lot of competition out there
"A Fab Four hotel"
Another fab stay at this top hotel for my birthday. The staff are lovely , my room was fab and my breakfast in the morning at Blakes restaurant was spot on. The location is perfect as it's only a 2 minute walk to the cavern club and also it's a 2 minute walk to Liverpool one.
"Golf trip with city center nearby"
The hotel has a breakfast place attached it is super fast as it is a buffet. At dinner it's ok. Best part of hotel is location. Wow so much to do. What a beautiful city. Lots of restaurants nearby. Bands right out your door is where Beatles started of course and many other venues right down Matthews street which hotel is adjacent. Cabs easy to get. Yet you can walk to mall, wharf, train station, seal street etc. lovely place.
