"The Perfect Location & Excellent Service"
I recently stayed at the Hilton ahead of my early flight the next day. This was my first time using a digital check-in that allowed one to choose a room based on floor plan maps - VERY efficient & I wish more hotels offered this option! Upon my arrival, I was given a warm welcome and staff helped with luggage. The check-in process was a bit slow, as only a couple people were available at the desk; due to my late arrival time, I didn't have the option of checking in at the executive lounge. The room layout was unique, with a large window separating the bathroom and bedroom, which allowed one to watch TV while soaking in the bathtub (the bathroom had speakers with volume control). However, there were automized curtains that could be drawn to cover the window if desired. The room was very clean and the bed was super soft. Although a bit higher priced than other hotels near PEK airport, I will definitely stay here again. Although this hotel is close to the airport (I could see T3 from my room), it is extremely well sound-proofed, as I could hardly hear vehicle or aircraft traffic sounds. The shuttle service was very efficient and was not crowded since they offer shuttles every 20 min. This hotel is a real gem for travelers.
Very cool, top of the line hotel stay. Rooms are dripping in marble, as is the style. Fantastic bedding. Easy stay with airport shuttle every 20 mins. I did not get a chance, but the breakfast looked yummy.
"Comfortable and Convenient"
Architecture and interiors design are really top notch. The rooms are spacious but the audio video system did not have the HDMI input which I always look for. A hotel that would cater to businessmen should allow flexibility in the use of the audio video system. Checking in was easy enough. I only went to the Long Bar and as it was Sunday. So there was only one other couple in the really long bar. Give the he traffic to and from Beijing, if you're only passing through, this is the perfect hotel!
Beautiful property. We were walk-in, no-reservation, last-minute late on a crowded evening found ourselves stuck overnight in Beijing because flight cancelled. They we filling up full, could have charged us the rack rate or worse, I would have had to pay it, nowhere else to go, beyond exhausted, replacement flight too soon to shop around. Leo at the front desk found a significantly reduced rate for us because as he said, we were only using the room for a few hours. Stunningly beautiful upgrade room too. We have highest frequent status with Hilton (Diamond) and other chains, so are accustomed to nice treatment (as well as the not-so-occasional I-don't-care not-so-nice) but this was way beyond the expected. Kudos to the GM and to Leo in particular. This is a class property and Leo in particular is a class act.
"Convenient location, but dirty and old."
For the price tag, I would expect better service and facility condition. Convenient location to beat horrible traffic and get to the airport on time, and great breakfast. Rooms are stale not very clean, rugs in corridors are extremely dirty and old. I haven't tried other Beijing hotels to compare, I will not return to this one.
