"Fantastic hotel in a brilliant location "
Stayed in deluxe dome view room- amazing views over the Deutscher Dom and Gendarmenmarkt through floor to ceiling windows. Check in is quick, efficient and friendly. The executive lounge is recommended; nice food and drinks throughout the day and provides a welcome pit stop after a morning of sightseeing. One reason we chose this hotel was offering of gluten free breakfast. We weren’t disappointed, contact prior to arrival with hotel confirmed breads, cakes etc can be provided and were. Breakfasts were well catered with lots of choice. Location is great, perfectly located within 10 minutes of the Brandenburg Gate, holocaust memorial etc. We used the pool on the morning before we left which was included in room rate, but sauna and steam room were chargeable extras.
"Good hotel perfect location"
Very good hotel well situated in Berlin. Staff is helpful and professional, rooms are nice, had good sleep there. Bar is a bit pricey so does breakfast. Had small issue with shower where temperature kept variating from freezing to burning! This did not happen last stay in 2017. Overall i recommend it.
Excellent service from check-in to check-out. It also helped that I was upgraded with Executive Club privileges. My reservations were made with Hilton Honors points, so i really had a good deal. A beautiful tray of fruit and drinks were in my room upon arrival. The room is large and comfortable. Great location, close to everything -- shopping, restaurants, and historic sites. Also close to U-Bahn Stadtmitte Station and Gendarmenmarkt Square. I had the best vegetarian curry sausage at a stand across the street from the hotel. I enjoyed my entire time while in Berlin, and staying at Hilton Berlin made it a truly wonderful vacation. This will definitely be my hotel of choice if I ever have the opportunity to return to Berlin.
"Great hotel, great location"
We had two nights here. We had a really great experience. The hotel is really well located in walking distance to many of the popular attractions and shopping malls. Staff were efficient and friendly, the room was well laid out and comfortable. The gym was very well equipped and quite large for a hotel, and the swimming pool was also good, although I am not a fan of noisy indoor pools. Breakfast was great, a full buffet range, a typical range you would expect. The bar staff knew their cocktails well and check in and check out was smooth. The club room was quite crowded at drinks time and it was difficult to get a table. But that was my only even slightly negative experience... Everything ran smoothly and I would definitely stay there again. We heard good things before we arrived and they delivered.
"Seriously needs updating"
My room felt like I was staying on the set of Charlie's Angels...the original. Crushed velvet curtains, wallpaper meant to look like stone, and lamps and fixtures that belong in the 80s. For a Hilton, this was disappointing. The room came with instant coffee and our mechanical teapot had mold growing inside. The bed was not comfortable, either, and made my back hurt. The bathroom was acceptable. As for the positives, the location is great! You are walking distance to the Tor, Gendarmarkt, Tiergarten, and so many other great museums and historical locations. And the Mall of Berlin, if you're into that. There was quite a bit of everything within walking distance, including a fantastic Thai restaurant called Good Time (I think). I am guessing for the price you are paying for the location, and not a very pleasing room experience.
