"Great night before flights"
Great overnight stay before flying out. Very comfortable and convenient. Love the included transportation to and from airport. Great breakfast. Comfortable room clean and bright. Nice restaurant located on main level with ample choices on menu.
"Far away from airport, needs urgent renovation"
Why do they call it an airport hotel' Because it has a bus that goes there every 30-40 min. Rooms need renovations _ urgently. Outside appearance is decent, reception as well but when you enter the guest floors and your room - run down place in an outskirt shopping mall area. Without the airport in the name no one would ever stay there. Rightly so. Breakfast was the weakest I ever had in a Hilton in Europe. Comparable only to the ones in the US and far, far below any Asian standard. Cannot recommend staying there unless you have to do anything close by (and I wonder what that would be).
"Lay over stay"
We had a 14 hour lay over with Aer Lingus and reserved a room at Hilton. The shuttle was free for Hilton gold but the pickup point is a long walk and the exact place to wait at zone 16 was not clear but we found it at the end of the left walkway (there is a fork where you must choose zone 16 left or zone 16 right. Choose wisely- left). The shuttle picks up every 30 minutes at 15 till and 15 after. 15 minute ride to the hotel. Check in was easy. When it only offered twin room for a couple, they mean twin beds that cannot easily be moved together. Only complaint about the room was the hot water took forever to get hot. I was about to call the desk to tell them the hot water was not working and it started getting hot. Breakfast was very good and free. Just give them your room number when you go to breakfast. We have never done an overnight layover before this but for the airline cost saving it was worth it. It also broke up our trip home from Spain into to days which was nice. Would recommend it.
"The Hotel is located in a very nice area, and you can get the free shuttle bus from the Airport"
Lovely room good location and it is very close to a Tesco super store for that little extra and you can go to a lovely place call Malihide and the shuttle take you also which is very handy very good hotel.
Have stayed here twice now, when our son has been competing in sports events in Dublin that have early starts. Great experience both times: convenient location, good food and spacious and comfortable rooms. This last time was a little extra special as they have introduced Friday night live music in the bar/restaurant. “Paul”, looked a bit like Stan Lee and sang a range of songs from the 60s onwards. He made Our evening and it took some discipline to leave and get the required early night: the craic was mighty, as they say!
