"Great Place to Stay"
This is a very good place to stay. It is right across the street from the train/metro station and is quite quiet. They do have live music regularly so will get quite lively and the canal is also right across the street so you'll regularly find people drinking along there, but they do not get rowdy. It is within walking distance from a few eateries/watering holes. If you want to visit the countryside, be sure to rent a car way in advance to avoid paying high rates as the train system is not as advanced in Ireland as it is in the rest of UK and mainland Europe.
"Not worth the money in my opinion- Better to be had"
The hotel is below standard for the price in my opinion and nothing special, there was no "Wow Factor" to it, i would consider it a business hotel and great for that purpose, there are better hotels to stay at for the money. It is a 20/30 minute walk to Temple Bars, however the tram is super close if you don't fancy walking through Dublin. The staff are helpful and we didn't even eat at the restaurant as this was a holiday trip not business. My final say which is not an year round issue, they where having the pavers in the courtyard power washed and an early morning lay in was impossible. My first stay at a "Hilton" will unfortunately be the last.
"This hotel is nicer than we expected!"
We chose to stay at this location in order to use travel points, so although Hilton hotels are generally nice enough, we were not expecting anything special. We were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a very nice bar in the hotel, as well as a nice restaurant that serves a fabulous breakfast bar. We were very pleased with our stay here and will stay here again if we get the chance to come back to Dublin.
"Old hotel nice service and noise proof"
Only rated as a 3 as the rooms are quite old, bathroom not great with cracks and no pressure in the shower. No complimentary water or travel adapter provided. However great noise isolation, couldn't hear anything from outside or rooms next to me. Service really nice and helpful, good breakfast!
"Great location for the price"
I stayed for a weekend and I was really pleased with the hotel. The room was lovely, very spacious for a city hotel, great facilities and very quiet. My room was facing out towards the Luas yet I heard absolutely no noise. I heard no noise from neighbouring rooms either. The staff were also extremely helpful especially when it came to parking even after we had checked out on the Sunday. Would definitely stay again!
