"Chocolate Afternoon Tea AVOID"
I took my grandson here for his christmas present. The sandwiches were stale and the chocolate scones were solid (he filmed me stabbing the scone with a fork and if was like hitting a brick). The cakes were ok but nothing special. I emailed the company to complain but they didn't respond. From this I can only conclude that they DON'T CARE!! Don't waste your money there are better places to go in London for afternoon tea. The only good thing about the whole experience was that the waiter was lovely and so apologetic.
"Lady Ogilvie "
The location was ideal. After reading some negative guest reviews, I was a little concerned and requested a nice, clean, quiet, comfortable room and that it was I got. It was warm, the shower was good as was the TV. No complaints, would certainly recommend and stay here again if assured of the same standard of room.
"Chinese New Year "
This hotel is in a fantastic location with so much being in walking distance including the green park tube station being literally a two minute walk away. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk to get to Piccadilly circus and surrounding areas. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. The room itself was on the fifth floor ample size with bath and shower, tv, tea and coffee facilities wardrobe and safety deposit box. Bed was a little uncomfortable and decor a bit tired but it was clean and a very reasonable price for its location in London.
"Big thanks to Concierge Richard Panis"
We stayed there to attend a gala event. I had my brand new tuxedo which I brought from Miami but realized the bow tie had to be manually done as opposed to a clip on. I panicked after unsuccessfully trying to follow directions from every YouTube video. I went to the lobby to beg for help and Richard came to the rescue.
"Great quiet location"
Would agree that the rooms are in need of refurbishment, we stayed in the spacious room 408.Current roadworks on Piccadilly mean that Half Moon Street is very quiet, almost a backwater. Excellent choice at buffet breakfast, the nearby Shepherd Market is a lovely area with shops, bars and restaurants. Bus and tube links are also nearby. If the rooms were upgraded would give 5 stars. Very helpful concierge in getting us a taxi.
