"Great Business Stay"
I stayed here for just one night, and although the hotel is quite old, I had a great stay. The staff lives up to the famous "hilton standard" and I was lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a bigger room (the biggest room I've ever stayed in London... and I've been to dozens hotels)... the breakfast was perfect and I asked for a late check out and they were kindly enough to let me check out at 5PM without any charge. Thank you so much! P.S. Forgot to mention that it has a great location, within a minute and a half walk from Green Park tube station.... and the park is just outside your door
"Hotel needs updating to meet Hilton Standards"
The location of the hotel was very convenient and centrally located to some of the most iconic London sights, including in walking distance to Buckingham Palace. The staff at the hotel was great! They were all very helpful and courteous. The restaurant looked very nice but the food prices were very high. There are other nice restaurants/bars around the corner that are much less expensive. The hotel was run down and needs updating in order to meet Hilton standards. The carpet in the hallways and my room were stained and appeared to be dirty, although I think it was just very old. The floors creaked a lot too. The bedding in my room was also stained. The bathrooms seemed to have been updated. I was upgraded to a King bedroom and the room size was very large for London, which was very nice. I was also charged twice for my room upon checkout.
Hilton as a brand should be very unhappy with this poorly maintained property. The staff are excellent but work in poorly maintained surroundings. Rooms are carpet stained and thin walls with very basic finishings
"Location is not everything"
Perfectly located between St James and Mayfair you have some of the best restaurant around. The issue is with the landlord which is not investing to refresh this property!! the floor squeaks when you or the neighbor walks!!! no sound proving. Very poor/ basic furniture and bathroom equipment from the 80s'... it will depress you if you spend more than a night. Hilton shouldn't managed such property. Nice staff and service.
We had a quick weekend in London to go to an NFL game at Wembley. Years ago we stayed in Mayfair and wanted to be in that neighborhood again. The hotel was in a great location, easy to get around and we were close to the Underground too. The room was fine, bed a bit hard but overall fairly spacious. Bathroom was updated and very clean!
