"Nice hotel but location makes it difficult to get around"
Chose this hotel as we had an event in Richmond which is 2 miles away. Unfortunately, the location of this hotel at the end of Syon park is a nightmare for transportation. There are no cabs around and you need to get reception to call one if you need to get anywhere. Uber drivers have big problems finding the place. We we're only there for 1 night over a weekend and saving time was a big issue for us. on Saturday night I called an Uber and saw it was close to the hotel in Syon park when the driver called and told me he was stuck in traffic. Eventually, he gave up and turned around. Afterwards we discovered that there was an event in Syon park and the line of traffic stretched the length of the park. This is the only way to access the hotel making it almost impossible for cabs to access the hotel. Our trip also coincided with England versus Australia rugby at Twickenham and by the time we left the hotel we got stuck in this traffic around Twickenham, It took us more than 1 hour to get to Richmond from the hotel. We would have walked but it was winter, raining and my wife was wearing heels There is a gate next to the hotel that would solve this access issue but this is a service entrance only and the gate is locked. Seems crazy that they trap guests here rather than making this gate a real access point. The hotel and room was nice. I found the staff quite unhelpful and poorly trained. They misdirected us to the spa and couldn't answer basic questions like can I use the spa facilities for free as a guest - reception answer "ask the spa people". I recommend staying in central London and taking a cab to Richmond / Twickenham. It will probably be the same time and cost.
"Amazing hotel and staff."
Checked in by the front office manager(Sophie I think') who was very pleasant and professional. Got to our room and couldn't believe the size of the room and how modern it was! Everything worked perfectly and I especially loved how they had a tv in the shower! We had a balcony which was an extra bonus as sometimes hotel rooms can get a bit stuffy so it was nice to be able to get fresh air. The following day we decided to take full advantage of the spa, which was SO relaxing - a great start to a gloomy Monday. The hotel decor is really impressive, it really felt like a unique, professional and trendy place to be. What I loved most about this hotel was the staff. Everybody went above and beyond and were so friendly and polite. Definitely the nicest staff I've come across. Shout out to the food and bev supervisor (working at around 9pm on Sunday 19th November) he was so lovely. Martjin from the bar was also extremely polite and friendly :)! Overall I'd highly recommend this hotel for leisure / conferences. A hidden gem! We will definitely be back. Keep doing what you all do best!
"Thoroughly enjoyable stay in this lovely setting"
This was our first visit to the hotel. We came down for a rugby match at Twickenham and we're very pleasantly surprised by our room, the service and facilities, all set in beautiful surroundings. We walked to Kew Gardens (about a 40 minute walk) and also to Twickenham (also about 40 minutes). We had a pre-match lunch in the restaurant (fish and chips) which surpassed our expectations. I hope we are lucky enough to find ourselves down this way again when we will certainly stay here again.
Have just returned from three days facilitating an international workshop at the Syon Park Hilton. One can tell immediately that it was not originally built as a Hilton. Great landscaping, non block design and great reception. Good rooms with great showers. Good breakfast. Excellent meeting facilities with friendly and attentive staff. The kitchen even cooked a curry for the group on the middle night to save time for everyone with late working. Would heartily recommend and have requested that this is my “go to” hotel for future workshops in the W London area.
"Amazing country location inside the M25"
You drive to the hotel down a road that could be in the middle of rural England not inside the M25 near heathrow. Lovely comfortable room, pop-up TV in the bottom of the bed. Nice bath with separate shower. Quiet and luxurious hotel.
