"Hilton Hotel Manchester airport"
Stayed here for one night in October prior to taking a flight the following morning. Checked me into a room on the forth floor right at the end of the corridor. Upon entering I noticed the window was open due to the fact that it was absolutely freezing cold in there. Tripped up on the torn carpet in the entrance hallway. Further inspection revealed what I would only describe as appalling for what is supposed to be a decent branded hotel chain. I was using a combination of my Honors points and cash to pay for my stay. I complained to the front desk and asked to speak to the duty manager, which turned out to be the same person who checked me in. I told him It was a disgrace, and in fairness he did offer to move me to another room which I declined due to been tired and just wanting to get something to eat and then sleep. I just felt the need to tell him what a state the room was in. This hotel is in desperate need of some tlc and as a result I would recommend that you stay elsewhere until such time that it has been revamped. As usual due to its location it will always be full I’m sure. I was given 5000 points as recompense for the situation but they really need to up their game I’m afraid!! Recommend the Clayton nearby.
"Good pre-flight hotel"
We stayed for only 1 night. Nice quiet room, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Staff were very happy to oblige my wife and additional quilt and front desk really friendly. Parking at the hotel for the duration of the stay is easy. Close to airport and long stay parking sites. Will definitely use again.
"Arriving early to Manchester"
Arrived early to Manchester after a long flight and refresh at Hilton before continuing my journey to Peckforton Castle. The hotel is served by shuttle bus from platform B, which is a little walk further away from the Bus Platform B at the airport. Overall a good experience although would prefer lunch to be served a bit quicker.
We stayed here because we had an early flight they took us over to the airport so we could drop our bags off at the twilight check in the night before,the hotel was average the bedroom carpet was well worn and could do with a clean but the beds were good, The bar was ok limited selection of beer we chose not to eat here.
We enjoyed our stay on both occasions except for problems mentioned. The breakfast experience was very good and quality food offered. The water leak was dealt with very quickly and we were told we would have an upgrade room on 16th but didn't get this as room was same as we had on first stay.
