"Terrible experience. My original review was deleted, go figure."
So this is going to be a long one. My friends and I enjoyed a delicious brunch at the Hilton (served by a wonderful man named Raul), paid, then proceeded to swim in the hotel pool. After several hours of frolicking in the water, we began to get dressed to head back to our apartment. A hotel staff member came in as we were preparing to leave and asked us to tell her our room number. We told her that we paid separately to use the pool. She then came back with 2 security details who asked the same questions in English. When we gave the same answer, they walked to the door and glared at us as we got dressed. More and more guards began to appear until they swarmed the hallway. When the manager appeared, 3 guards told her (in Spanish) that we (a group of black men and women) all snuck into the pool secretly and that they would remove us if we protested. The manager corrected them, stating that she saw us at brunch. She then approached me and asked if I had a problem, in which I told her that they wrongfully accused us. Instead of offering a sincere apology, she instead defended the actions of the 7 guards, stating that they needed to protect the patrons of the hotel, but were we not patrons as well' That the Hilton Mexico City Reforma staff were willing to lie about it and treat paying customers like criminals is utterly shameful. This came days after our Uber was pulled over by two Mexican police officers who told us to show ID and asked if we were in the country legally. I've been to countries where my people have rarely wandered and have experienced less racism than this. It's more than appalling. If this hotel chain employs racist guards, I can no longer support it. They need to treat patrons with more respect than they showed us and not lie in Spanish thinking that there is no such thing as a black Latino or a black person who speaks Spanish.
"Great hotel and location!"
This hotel is in a central location within walking distance of the Zocalo, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Ciudadela Crafts Market, Theater, restaurants, museums and much more. The hotel itself is amazing! Great spacious and modern rooms/ammenities, gym, deck with views (terraza), indoor/outdoor pool and tennis courts. The food and aervice are great!
"Great stay as usual"
Great service in this that has become my house in Mexico City. Nicolasa, in the room cleaning team took care of me during the trip and Luis at the lounge area couldn’t have been more attentive. As always a great service at this Hilton property.
The hotel is nice and clean, with friendly staff. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the breakfast selection is very generous. Would stay again when stopping over for business trips. Good Hilton Hotel..
"Unbelievable awesome like Conrad!"
The Hilton Mexico City exceeded our expectations! We thought it was like kinda of Sheraton or Hampton Inn or Courtyard. Opps! We were wrong and forgive us with our prejudgment. It was exactly like type of Conrad. From arrival to departure Hilton Mexico City Reforma hospitality team delivered our stay experience to excellence. Door men, bell men, front desk reception staff members were awesome and greeted us when we arrived and departed. They acted and treated us like our friends. We loved every minute at the hotel, we might actually be obsessed with the hotel.
