"Hilton Nagoya for 4 nights/5 days"
Stayed in 22nd floor executive room. Clean, excellent housekeeping, nice amenities, friendly and courteousness second to none from doorman, concierge, front desk to executive lounge staff. Lobby is adequately decorated and comfortable, not as grand as that of Tokyo, Osaka or Fukuoka. Executive lounge breakfast same offerings as that of other hiltons but afternoon tea, although, enjoyed only once, included fresh biscuits, fruits, finger sandwiches. The lounge atmosphere is comfortable, mostly quiet with wonderful view of Nagoya city: Nagoya station, JD Gate Tower to the west and TV Tower, Oasis 21 to the east with distant surrounding mountains. The most convenient way to Hilton from Chubu Central International Airport(Nagoya Airport) is the limousine bus(1,200 Yen/person/one way) requiring 60~70 minutes. Otherwise, use less expensive but more walking Meitetsu Airport Line train service from the airport to Nagoya station(30 minutes), then to Fushimi Station which is about 2 blocks from Hilton. Well stocked 7/11 convenient store, Yamachan(pepper based fried chicken wings), Yamamotoya(famous miso nikomi udon) all located within one block. Yumi, thank you for your friendly welcome and quick response to my inquiries.
"Little gem "
This is a little gem tucked away from the hustle of nagoya. Hotel room is reasonable sized. What you need is available within the room. Seemed to had been renovated recently. Room quite clean. Food at the resturant was limited. Pizza is a draw. Free shuttle bus to sakae and nagoya station. Pre-booking required.
Although we were given a non smoking room, it reeked of smoke. When we came out of the room, the distinctive smell indicated that someone had smoked along the corridor or inside other rooms. We had a baby with us so we were rather upset about the bad air quality. The hotel also did not provide complimentary wifi. You have to pay 1000¥/night to use their wifi. Internet use has become so prevalent that most hotels are providing it as one of the basic amenities e.g. towels and toilet paper. Yet Hilton requires their guests to register as a honors member to enjoy this "benefit". It is quite ludicrous. Luckily we only stayed for one night.
"Good hospitality and comfy hotel "
We stayed here on our trip to Takayama and Kamikochi. We are so glad that we made the right choice. The location is convenient and the room size is reasonable for Japan standard. It could accommodate our family of four with no problem. The room is clean and the gym is well equipped. The staff is nice and helpful, special thanks to Reia and Taguchi San of the executive lounge, they are so responsive and considerate. I could observe that they have extreme patience to all the patrons. Nagoya Hilton we will definitely come again!
"Excellent service and comfortable stay"
The hotel provided an upgrade upon check in and I was able to stay in an executive lounge-access room on the top floor. The executive lounge staff were incredibly helpful generous with their time and attention to my needs. I was particularly impressed with Ms. Taguchi of the lounge staff. She was very attentive to the details of my stay and needs. I found it quite impressive that she remembered mundane details from a previous stay several months before; she did her best to successfully accommodate such small details and my stay was very relaxing thanks to her and her associates. This stay was a short two-night rest between work and a long string of trips. I found this experience to be very satisfying and refreshing and certainly plan to stay again when I return to Nagoya.
