Right next door to Harrah's and the convention center. On the street separating the French quarter from the business district. Walking distance to Bourbon St. Clean, modern hotel with great staff. Concierge and front desk were very helpful and accommodating. Room was large with an amazing view of the river. Comfy bed and good AC. Will stay there on next trip for sure.
My wife and I stayed at this facility during our visit to New Orleans while attending the 2017 Society for Human Management (SHRM) Conference. We had an outstanding stay and the customer service was outstanding!
My husband had a business trip so we extended it and made it our family vacation. The hotel itself was ok. The rooms are nothing fancy but fine. We had a room overlooking the river which was sweet and the front gal got us that after requesting it at check it. The Creole Queen was right outside our window but we still had a good river view. What makes us give it only a 3 is the housekeeping. They were sweet ladies but 2 days our room didn't get cleaned so we'd have to call for towels, shampoo, coffee etc. If only my husband had gone he would have had no problem. But with myself and 2 teenagers we preferred sleeping in a little and even after telling the house keepers or calling guest services we had 2 of 6 nights there with no house keeping which was irritating b/c it's nice coming back to a clean room. Other than that it's a great location. Walking distance to the casino, French district, ware house district and WW2 museum.
"Good for convention"
The room was clean and quiet, however some of the other guests on the hall were not. There was a man screaming on a cell phone in the hall threatening the caller over money until his wife or girlfriend got him to their room, and in the room next door, a man yelled obscenities at other guests who were leaving at 8 in the morning-some really nasty stuff.. Pretty rough crowd for anyone with a family or small children. The hotel is massive, so security is difficult. It was a good location for a convention, decent food and accommodations, but it is not a very secure place.
"Awesome Hotel "
I recently attended a week long conference held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. All of the hotel staff were pleasant, competent, and helpful. The hotel was huge and large groups of people were coming and going constantly. However, the space was very accommodating and the restaurants and front desk all ran smoothly. I really enjoyed the Hilton app as it allowed me to have digital key access with my phone, schedule housekeeping, and text the concierge. The app was easy to use and very convenient. The location of the hotel is ideal as it is walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and the trolley. I would return to this hotel the next time I'm in New Orleans. Although, I was their for business, it would definitely be a place I'd bring my family.
