"Close to Salt Lake Palace"
I was here on business, it is very close to Salt Palace, less than a 5 minute walk. The "Executive upgrade" is absolutely worth the small fee!! Wonderful staff, great rooms, comfortable beds, I will always stay at this location every year when coming to Salt Lake City!!! You will not be sorry!
"Location, service, comfort!"
It is hard to find a five-star hotel in big city; however, this one lived up to the rating. I was lucky enough to snag a vacancy at this gem with a fantastic location. I cannot say enough about the staff. SLC was booming during my visit - with an oil convention and some sort of soccer tournament. The friendly staff were welcoming and helpful with any questions I had. The room was comfortable and elevators fast. SLC has a huge homeless problem; however, I never felt unsafe during my stay, even when walking back to the hotel at dusk. It is an easy walk to both Red Rock brewing and Squatter's Pub (check out both!) and also extremely close to shopping/eating and convention center. I had a leisurely stroll to Temple Square which was also close by. As with most Hiltons, breakfast was not included and no microwave in room. I would definitely return to this property if back in Salt Lake City.
"Great hotel for business trip"
Hotel had a great desk area to work. I was very busy when I arrived so I ordered room service for two of my meals and it was good and reasonably priced (as far as in room dining goes). Lots of space for luggage, comfy bed, good counter space in the bathroom and great water pressure in the shower. Overall everything I needed during a busy 2 day business trip
"No one answers the phone - guests at the hotel are on their own - have low expectations"
As I write this I am experiencing the horrible serivce at this hotel. I am letting the phone ring (dialed for front desk) for at least 50 ring, no exaggeration, and no one is answering the call. I wanted to know two things; where is the business center and is room service available. I finally found out that room service ends at 11pm. Why did I not stay at a Holiday Inn Express for $50 less' Service is bad here, not up to my expectation at a Hilton full service hotel. Someone from Hilton should downgrade this property or pull their license to be a Hilton.
"Hilton city center salt lake."
We stayed in Salt Lake to drop off our child for a summer program. Location downtown was great. Hotel is a little dated. Concierge had no knowledge of the area unless you wanted to go to a chain restaurant close to the hotel. Check out staff member was a little short with us but not totally rude. Just seemed a little dated compared to other Hilton properties but a clean and convenient location.
