"Rather disappointing - CAUTION for guests"
1) During check-out, the staff said I had made two phone calls but indeed I had never used the phone whatsoever. I asked about the time of call and the number that's had been called, the staff could not provide. I insisted that it must be a mistake and the staff finally "waived" that as it is a small amount. (I shouldn't say "waive" as I didn't make any call). Why would such mistake could be made' 2) One day a used moist towel (probably used by room cleaner) was left next to my personal belongings when I return to my room at night. 3) That's the weirdest part. When I and my colleague first arrived at the hotel by a car on check-in day, the staff at the entrance saw us and never intended to help us with our luggages (4 baggages for 2 of us). But things changed drastically when we checkout. Surprisingly, their staff kept asking us , again and again, whether we had a car to the airport, if not, they could help us with that. Their staff even offered to help us with our luggages. **The weirdest part is here** Finally our limo driver (arranged by our company) had arrived and he was holding up a card with my name on it. He was then asked to park somewhere further away from the hotel. Another driver whose car was already parking at the hotel entrance then came to us and kept repeating my name to us. This driver even helped bringing our baggage to his vehicle until our driver came to us and then we figured out what had happened. Hilton staff were there and witnessed everything, but NO ONE helped us. It is not difficult to imagine why their staff are so passionate in "assisting" you on the transportation.
"Good location, average rooms"
We stayed for two nights for a business trip in September. The location was fantastic for walking to the piers, Coit Tower, shopping and good restaurants. The lobby and sitting area at the hotel was great and the reception staff very helpful. Rooms felt dated, a little dark and the water pressure in the showers was very average.
Room was clean, simple, breakfast was a bit sparse but the location is paramount, close to everything, easy to get in and out. Used taxi and Uber, simple and efficient curb side drop off for quick departure
"Walkable to a lot, great location"
Right at Chinatown and the financial district. Walkable to the piers and other sites like Coit Tower and downtown. Lots of food options, including Chinese of course. Parking at the hotel is typical for San Fran, expensive. Good hotel views, 750 restaurant is nice. There is a room with a huge screen which is great for watching whatever sport may be on. Requested a fridge from the front desk, they were very nice and accommodating. Comfy bed and pillows. Sliding, unlockable bathroom door which is fine if you are along. Wifi has been very slow at times, average at others. Bottom line, really nice hotel. Worth the stay.
"Worst room layout ever "
The hotel itself is fine. I only stayed one night and had no issues with the service. However, this was absolutely the worst room and bathroom layout I have ever seen! There is no counter space at all in the bathroom yet there is tons of wasted space between the shower and the toilet (see photo). They had to put the toiletries on a tray on top of the toilet. I've never seen this before!! My toiletries bag did not even fit on the tiny counter space around the sink. The room itself also had big empty wasted spaces, but no mini fridge and no actual closet, just a dresser to hang clothes in. Also, the rate was $329/night which was way to high a rate, even for San Francisco. The next day, we stayed in a Renaissance in Tulsa, which was 1000 times better for 1/3 the price. We will not be returning.
