"Amazing views, good location"
The hotel is a few blocks from both Union Square, Columbus Avenue and the Ferry Building Farmers Market along with countless other attractions and sights. A classy hotel that is suited to both business and leisure travelers. We stayed in a Executive Room with a Bay View. Staying in the these rooms give access to the Executive lounge which gives complementary snacks and drinks which is a great touch and a fantastic place to start the day for breakfast, or for early evening drinks. I'd very much recommend the paying the extra for these rooms. The view of the Bay from the room is amazing and will add to anyones experience in whilst in San Fran. The bar/restaurant downstairs is a good place to visit and the foods worth a try too. Other features of the hotel include a massage-chair/cinema room and a huge lobby. This was my seventh visit to San Francisco and I'd very much recommend this hotel
"Nice lobby but HORRIBLE rooms"
I stay at quite a lot of Hiltons and this one is down at the bottom of the list. The lobby is very nice and new but the rooms are old and very shabby. We stayed in 2122, the room was on the smaller side and the furniture was very worn/chipped. The couch was stained. The worst part was the bathroom. There was paint missing from the ceiling. The shower grout was horribly mildewed. Wherever the walls met the floor there was dirt/grime. Really disappointing. I was glad we were just there for a quick night and not in our room much. Only positive thing I have to stay about this hotel is that the check in staff and bell staff were friendly and helpful.
"Would have been a nice view out of cleaner windows"
I was fine with the hotel room, and public spaces, and location. But one of my main reasons for choosing this hotel was that I could get a room on a high floor and have a nice view. But the windows looked like they hadn't been washed this decade, which REALLY impeded the view.
"Good hotel for a short stay"
A very decent hotel, nothing spectacular, nothing too bad either, so, definitely, average *** Check in/check out *** I had done the online checkin, and I took also the mobile key option, so I could have gone directly to the room upon arrival but, since I had not read correctly the application (my fault!) I went to the checkin desk anyway. The mobile key worked... yes and no. Sometime it worked perfectly, other I had to close the application and start it again to be able to enter the room. The last morning, after I left the room, the key decided that I was not supposed to enter again the room and I had to have a "normal" one made for the last hour of my stay. All the staff, though, was absolutely nice and helpful, also when I had that problem with the mobile key (which, when it works, it is absolutely ok) *** Room *** I was on the 24th floor, the room was quite spacious, and with good but maybe a little dated furniture, the alarm clock had 2 usb ports, very useful to have your phone closeby. The bed was quite nice as well *** Bathroom *** A little old, but very clean. I do not like bath tubs that much, I definitely prefer a shower, but it was manageable. Good (and standard) set of amenities *** Internet connection *** Quite good in the room and in the surrounding areas. I was able to use it also when calling my drive to the airport, and I was able to use Netflix as well, and make videocalls. Absolutely nothing to say about it *** Position *** Attached to Chinatown, close enough to bars and other type of... places to visit, so nothing bad to say about it.
"Nice hotel in good location"
Nice property that while it shows its age and could use a little updating worked out just fine. Good location to explore the different areas of the city. Close to Chinatown and Little Italy. Very friendly staff and very attentive to trying to help any way they could.
