"Amazing resort with incredible staff"
We stayed at this amazing property for 6 nights and never wanted the vacation to end, especially thanks to this "worth every penny" resort . First of all, the staff are charming and willing to assist promptly in any issue, sensitive to any issue or request and willing to assist at any time, including the hotel manager Gregory which is accessible to guests and listening carefully to their comments . They have hostess that welcomes you for smooth check in and showing you everything you need to know and answer all of our questions, we had a guy named Yen as our host and he was kind and so helpful during our stay and we wish to thank him especially . The rooms are big and comfortable, and fully equipped with in the highest standards. If you can afford, the pool villas are a dream (we paid an additional amount and took our last 3 nights in there) . Pay attention this hotel is only for couples and it's very suitable for quite vacation . We didn't wanted to leave the hotel and visited bue valoon only for one evening and never came back, as we had everything we need at the resort . Worth every penny, don't miss this property when coming to Seychelles !

"Never again "
First of all, I emailed the below text to the reservations email AND Annika the front desk manager two days before my stay was over and never even heard back. No reply at all. -The spa services were difficult to book as the therapists were "leaving early" or "leaving at 4" on days we wanted treatments. However, the treatments were amazing. -We had a LOT of ants in our room (and no food in our room) several times. It took MANY calls to get this resolved and then we had to call several times over two days to get the dead ants cleaned out of our room. We missed the shuttle to the beach because of the ants and when we asked for another shuttle as it wasn't our fault we were told to take a taxi or walk. I posted photos of the ants. -The internet is terrible. For a businessman like myself this is a big problem. One evening Jesse told me she would send the IT guy "immediately" but it was 2 hours later when I called and Jesse had left. So then the IT guy came and basically told us to just enjoy paradise. Excuse me' -The food at the buffet needs help. Need more vegetables. We aren't vegetarians but even we noticed an Indian couple upset TWO nights as there was very little for them to eat and they are vegetarians. -We put up our "do not disturb" sign EVERY night and they still come every night asking it we want turndown service. When we checked in Annika told us they ALWAYS respect the sign. No, they don't. Not at all. One night they came asking if we wanted our tub decorated with flowers and we had our sign up! We were trying to sleep after a long day of driving around. It's not acceptable. -I left a $50.00 USD tip for our housekeeper, Raju. It is customary to tip $2-3 per night at a hotel for housekeeping or $5.00 for a very high end hotel. He did a great job and I called him to thank him and make sure he got the tip and he said yes but he gave me attitude cause he didn't get a big tip today! I was shocked! He has been well paid for his services and more than is customary. -We were given vouchers for the fine dining restaurant by Vanessa. We wanted to use them on our last night but no one told us the restaurant would be closed! So, it's a waste for us. -The first night we ordered room service. We ordered ice cream. It showed up melted and with FORKS. The next two times we ordered our food was wrong. -The taxi driver who picked us up was given our room number by the hotel. That is COMPLETELY inappropriate and unsafe. He was not an employee of the hotel and yet he knows we are gone and what our room number is. Then he haggled us to take a trip with him the next day for $400 USD! We rented a car ourselves for €50.00. Either way, he should NOT have had our room number. -A guest should be able to exchange more that just $100 USD per day at the desk. -The property is beautiful. Christelle in the restaurant is great. -The last two days the ceiling started leaking in our room and when I told the front desk they didn't care. We had to put a towel on the floor in the middle of the room for that and walk around it. How nice. See photo. -On check out they tried to charge me for a shuttle I never took. They also told me management would answer my email. Never got an answer. -I've been to over 60 countries and this was one of the worst hotel experiences ever. I do NOT recommend it.
Stayed at this resort for 8 days. One of the best resorts we have visited with exceptional staff, always willing to help. Location was spectacular, some of the most amazing sunsets ever. Each of the restaurants was 5 star with a great selection and quality of food. I celebrated my birthday during our visit and the staff made the day very memorable and special for me- thank you! We will be back....
"My type of resort life"
At the time of writing this review, the average is 4.5 out of 5 stars. I would say this is on the mark. The reason why I reviewed it as a 4.0 is because of the restaurant/bar service and comps. I will start with the positive as to not deter from the property itself. The location is beautiful! From the moment we entered the property, it felt like we were on a different part of the island. The rooms are secluded enough that you feel like you have your own private view even if you're staying in an attached unit. We stayed in a until attached to 3 others and didn't have any privacy issues. Our friends stayed in a detached unit with a private pool and it was jaw dropping. The grounds on the property are very well maintained and manicured. It's rare for the staff to not greet you or ask if they can help in any way. The facilities were more than adequate and the hotel is nicely decorated. The infinity pool is exquisite and the cabanas beg you to sip a drink and read a book. As a bonus, there's a small beach area where there is surprisingly good snorkeling. This was a total bonus for us! Now, the bad. Internet was lost for about 2 days. True, it's nice to disconnect in a resort, if you want to be totally disconnected, but that should be our choice. We were told varying stories of it's a hotel outage to it's the entire island. Either way, no small gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience (i.e. free drink at the bar, fruit basket...etc.). Little things go a long way, especially in an expensive resort. The service at the bar was slow. We ordered food and it took 45+ minutes to arrive. It wasn't just us, we were in the bar area over a period of several days and saw multiple people approach the bar to inquire why their orders were taking so long. I often finished my beer before my next one arrived. The kicker was when we went to their sit down restaurant. We waited over 1 hour for our food to arrive. This was 30 minutes after we sat down and ordered. That's unacceptable. We received a very brief insincere apology from our waitress and that's about it. We asked for our check. She acknowledged and just started doing other things instead. 10 minutes later, we ask again and she printed out the checks for other tables. Needless to say, we complained to the front desk the next day about the incident. We got a "sorry to hear that, we'll look into it". It was basically a blow-off statement because we were checking out. In summary, the message here is eat/drink offsite if possible, otherwise, you'll be completely satisfied with the property.
