"Good position, but that's it"
This hotel does not recognise Hilton Honors Gold membership. Checked-in by a very cold and brusque lady. No room upgrade offered. Then when I asked for an upgrade was treated with distain and told that her supervisor would need to be consulted. The original room offered was reached by descending a very steep marble staircase, into the farthest corner of the hotel to the lift that went to our floor, and then right at the end of the corridor. Then I went back to reception again to ask about an upgrade was offered a twin room, which literally overlooked the main highway going through the city, with the tram and train track either side, and the bus depot. Very noisy, dark and depressing room. I refused this "upgrade". On sitting in reception and listening to other people checking-in, it seems that the cruise line passengers on a stop over were favoured with the room upgrades. The hotel offered very little in facilities, and little atmosphere. Breakfast reasonable, staff here very friendly and efficient. Hotel in good position for access to the old town, but lots of building work going on in the area.
"Very nice overall"
We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. The room and service was of the quality you would expect from them. You are in close proximity to the old town and waterfront. The only downside at present is there is construction in the surrounding area which detracts somewhat from the walk to/from the hotel.
"Great location for the views and walking."
Be sure get a room with a view because it is well worth it. Each morning we woke up to see Old Town and each evening the exquisite sunsets. Our room was nice sized and comfy. Staff was friendly and helpful -- we asked a ton of questions. Breakfast buffet had a large selection. The hotel is perfectly situated for walking and access to transportation, and of course the view. Would stay here again and recommend it to others.
"Large hotel close to the old town"
Located at the Slussen transport interchange so good for bus and underground train connections. A 5 minute walk gets you across the water to Gamla Stan island which is a lovely area to walk around. Unfortunately there is a lot of construction work going on around the hotel so the views are not as pretty as you might expect. Both the construction work and the trains / busses mean it is very noisy if you open a window in your room. We found the rooms very hot even with the AC turned to max and the noise meant it wasn't practicable to open the windows. Rooms were nicely furnished and well equipped. Breakfast buffet was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful.
"Not worth it and noisy"
We spent 3 nights it was so noisy not clean and very small room. Its location is over a main bridge and train rail ,you can hear the train passing clarily every single time ! The receptionests were not frindly nor helpfeul. I am big fan of Hilton chain but no more for this Hilton!!!
