"Top location, let down by a few niggles"
A block or so away from what you know as Times Square and walk-able, even with a suitcase, from Penn station. You need to take a lift (elevator) to the main lobby and with one of the two lifts out of order during my stay, delays and queues were common place. Food served at the bar was adequate and the condition of the draught beer needs some attention tasting stale and a little flat. The bar area itself was a very nice space to spend time in. My room smelt of cigarette smoke but I was immediately moved without question. The standard rooms are large, housekeeping good, cable TV service struggled with picture and audio breaking up regularly. Room check-out on the TV also failed. Free good coffee in the room.
"Great location, great view"
The hotel lobby is located several floors above the entrance so be prepared to take an elevator. Elevators to the rooms are separate and only accessible from the lobby level. We stayed on floor #32. We have great day and evening views. We also did not have loud road noise. It was a bit frustrating that we had a room with two queen beds but only given 3 bath towels. We were able to get the additional one we needed. The room was hot and stuffy the first night. The goods news is housekeeping came while we were still in the room and I asked how to change the temp. It turns out there was no power to the control. The maintenance engineer happened to be on our floor. Rafael it is working in no time as we had a pleasant nights sleep. The location of the hotel was close to Times Square, subway stations and many attractions. We thought is was a perfect location.
Located right in the heart of Times Square. Nice clean rooms. Had several elevator issues when we were there. Had to take the service elevator at one point to get to street level but appreciative and f not having to walk as lobby is on 15th floor. Market was out of soda one evening and no vending machines. Sodas were $5 each at the bar but comped on our bill upon checkout. Overall a good option of the many hotels in the Times Square area.
"Excellent hotel in Times Square"
We stayed at the hotel with another couple and were very pleased! I did a lot of research as I wanted a nice , clean hotel , close to Times Square and yet was good value for the money. I was so happy with the Hilton. We had King Deluxe suites on the 37th floor. We could see the ball from our window. If you get a room on the other side of the hall, you would see the Empire State Building and the Peace Tower. Our room was spacious , clean and updated. And Location, location, location!
"In the heart of the city"
The location is definitely not our favorite on 42nd street as it is so congested. Go in the hotel around the corner on 41st street and it is like a whole different entrance and much easier to access. We found the entire staff to be friendly, polite, helpful which are rare qualities in NY hotels. Our room was excellent, immaculate and well cared for.
