"Just stay HERE"
The location, facilities, and STAFF are excellent. From the time you enter the Hilton Hotel, you are treated as "Hilton Family". The meals and the restaurant staff are there to please. The Lobby area is designed to be accomadating and hospitable.
"Superb, beautiful, updated hotel! Fabulous service, too!"
As Gold Hilton Honors members and Hilton AmEx card holders, we were offered an upgrade to the Executive Floor. Now THIS is an upgrade!!! Our room was large, updated, quiet, and absolutely stunning! The bathroom was incredible; the shower pressure was fantastic; and the closet space was phenomenal. We were given access to the Executive Lounge which was lovely. It not only had fantastic munchies and beverages offered during various times of the day, there were several computers for us to use for printing boarding passes, checking email, etc. And the lounge was perfect for casual meetings with many comfortable conversational settings available. For smaller corporate events, their conference facilities were perfect. Whatever the reason for a stay at this Hilton, you'll be happy with the rooms, conference facilities, breakfast, restaurants, executive lounge, front desk and concierge service... basically everything!
"Ideal location "
Found this hotel to be of a very high standard with clean and nice rooms with also a lot of storage. The bathroom in our room was very nice with a spacious bath as well as waterfall shower. I enjoyed my stay and wifi is free. The staff are all very helpful and speak very good English, lobby to hotel also lovely very unique. Can buy tickets at reception for certain location and also receive maps and info. The hotel is in the perfect location being very close to the city centre and literally right around the corner from the hop on hop off bus for seeing the whole of Vienna. Would definitely recommend
"Comfortable and Convenient"
All the basics are in place: the rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable; the lobby is as lovely as you'd expect from the Ring location; the staff -- both front desk and wait -- is professional, competent, and helpful. Although there is no concierge, the front desk staff is knowledgable and very willing to help. (When there is a line for check-in/out, however, one does begin to wish for a dedicated concierge service.) We booked early and are HH members and so got breakfast with our room. The breakfast buffet is lovely to look at and plentiful. There are many healthy as well as somewhat sinful choices -- oh, those Vienna pastries! We did not resist. One suggestion: it was a surprise that a hotel of this quality (and things we've found at other Hiltons around the world) offered absolutely no small perks -- morning coffee in the lobby; cold drinks in the afternoon; a bowl of candies/fruit bowl on the front desk. These are the small details that make one feel pampered and keep you coming back. Location, mostly a plus: the hotel is on the Ring -- where you want to be if you are tourists, as we were. It is, however, not on the part of the Ring where many of the key sights are, but we are good walkers and so were not too much bothered by that. Also, the tram service is excellent and easy to use. Just be aware that you'll have a bit of a hike to get to many of the spots you are likely to want to visit. On the plus side, the stop for the Vienna Airport Bus is within about a block. We used this service and found it convenient and economical. The stop near the Hilton is the last one from the airport which means about a 50 minute ride. We decided to just relax and consider it a bit of an orientation to the city. Good news is that pick up for return to the airport is the final stop, so you are only about a half-hour away. It would take as long in a much higher priced taxi. There is also a tram stop almost directly across the Ring from the hotel. The trams are a great way to get around the city. The only issue we had with the location is that there were not many restaurant choices within walking distance of the hotel -- at least none that we found. All in all, our stay was pleasant and we were happy.
"Luxury hotel with charm"
Stayed at the Hilton to participate in a business meeting in the Waltz room. Very nice hotel with a 1920's music theme (think ragtime jazz for example). Good bedroom and large bathroom. Powerful walk in shower. Firm mattress so I slept well. Two downsides though. Twice when I returned to my room (729), the latch had deployed so I could not get into my room. Had to go to reception, explain the problem, and wait 5 minutes for a maintenance man to appear. Both times the problem was corrected in a few minutes, but it was an unexpected hassle. The second problem was the heat. Vienna was enjoying weather in the high 20's, so when I arrived in my room, it was like a sauna. I put the air conditioning on, but it struggled to get the temperature down below 20. I left my curtains drawn the following day to mitigate the sun's rays, but again the room was hot. Hhonors member so given complimentary water which was very welcome. Overall a few good hotel with some character.
