"Legoland overnight stay"
We booked this hotel as we were visiting legoland for the day and it was the nearest one for us as a family of 4 to stay in.. 2 adults and 2 boys.. we booked a family room.. very reasonable price. Room was comfortable and very clean, really quiet too which is always a bonus..! The restaurant adjoining the hotel Tratts.. albeit slow service but the food was nice and the restaurant is clean and spacious.. the breakfast at this hotel was really lovely, I would recommend this hotel as we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely come here again.!
"An overnight stop before a flight "
The lovely wife and I stayed here overnight before flying out of Heathrow. The staff were welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel is quiet, with minimal intrusion from both traffic and flight noise. Breakfast was fine but limited, I mean who doesn't have bacon at Breakfast!!!!!! So only 3 stars I hear you cry..... well the score is due to the fact that we had the most incredibly uncomfortable mattress in the world. It had springs poking in places, it sagged towards the middle of the bed and was hugely bouncy too.
We spent the night here prior to a flight the next morning. We booked it as part of a deal which included Purple Parking. It was very reasonable. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was adequate but one of the bedside light switches was broken, there was rust on the seal round the shower door and the air con did not work properly which made the room extremely airless. Breakfast was included with the price of the room. It was a buffet and perfectly adequate. It took us about 15mins to drive to T5 as the M4 was busy.
Flight delays led to having to stay here and being honest I was not too disappointed. Arrived very late so no issues with check in with the only downside being no option for food or a glass of wine if needed. The room was clean and the bed was ok with no disturbance from outside noise. The bathroom in the morning had a good shower but the towels were a little hard but did not mean they were unusable. Breakfast was ok if you like a buffet option, I don't but did have the option of toast which was good enough. Overall quite a good place to stay.
"One nighter acceptable "
One night spent in HI Express the night before an early flight. No disrespect intended but arrive as late as you can and leave as early as possible then it serves its purpose with a perfectly comfortable bed. Fire alarm went off around 5 am and I would say it was a little confused for not a drill, no sense of urgency really - these things can't be helped but would have liked to have seen a bit more action, perhaps it was obvious to the staff that it was a false alarm. All fine, you can't complain really and near t5 both coming and going on the hotel hoppa.
