"Ok for a couple of night "
Obviously, we are in a middle-low kind of hotel then I don't pretend a 6 star treatment... The staff is too kind and most of them talk a sufficient English and the miscommunication are not possible. I did not particularly impressed of something but if you need an economical solution where the clearing are in the top, this is the right place. Breakfast is not international but there are enough chosen
"Cheap and clean, but mostly sad and disappointing"
We tend to stay in IHG hotels when we travel in China because the service is consistent and the amenities generally are better. Because we're club members, we take advantage of the executive level privileges, which are access to the lounge and free happy hour. Well, this hotel has no executive lounge, and though we booked our room on an executive level floor (higher and quieter) they would not honor the booking -- though admittedly they did give us a nice room. The promised free happy hour was sad, no executive lounge so just a complimentary drink or two in the downstairs bar at the hostess' discretion. The grounds were not well kept, prostitutes on the sidewalk at night, and overall just a disappointment for the money paid. If I had been expecting less it would have been ok. On the plus side, it's in a pretty good location not far from the subway -- though don't trust the hotel directions to get you there.
"Great western hotel. "
Beds were great! Food was great! Staff was great. We stayed two days, toured some cities by bullet train and returned for three days. Really enjoyed the hotel. They were helpful in getting us to the train station, airport and Metro. About 15-20 minute walk to Metro. Small market across the street. ATM in hotel lobby. Plenty of choices for western style breakfast. Two bottles of water per day complementry.
"Great hotel and location helpful staff"
The hotel is located well just behind most of the main iconic places in central Beijing. The hotel has a good sized car park and are extremely helpful in securing you a metered taxi. staff also are knowledgeable about touristy questions and provide some added local advise saving you time, hassle and money. Rooms where modern and well maintained, shower was large and pretty good as was all other in room amenities. Breakfast was more focused on pleasing the local pallet, however the usual eggs (friend and boiled) was available with toast, cakes and tea/coffee/juice. I would strongly suggest that the hotel take up on the recommendation to have the egg station live. Having fried eggs cooked in advance and stored to the point its cold is really pointless and a waste of an egg! Other that my egg gripe i would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again once I'm fluent in Chinese!
"Nice Hotel in a good location"
The hotel is located not very far from city center and a few kilometers from the forbidden city. like any other Holiday inn I've been before, the hotel is clean, staffs are polite and lovely and rooms cozy. I missed the breakfast but my friends were fully satisfied about it ! the only problem was internet, it was very very slow in the rooms and slow in lobby.
