"An average hotel."
It looks impressive when you arrive, but in practice it is not something special. Many buildings for the rooms that makes it confusing, in some areas the Internet is good and in other just doesn't work, i.e at restaurant. It is in the middle of nowhere, so you need a car. I stay there only when my company books there. It is not my favorite. I always find something better around Florence and in the end the price is not cheap.
You book a hotel in the countryside to be in a quiet environment and you end up trying to sleep above a dancing club! To be avoided... There is definitely better place to stay around Firenze....... it could have been a good experience but it was not!!!
"Even a coffee bar with a barista!"
Wonderful place to spend a few days. The hotel is spread out amongst several smaller buildings and that makes it ideal for groups or families to be together. Excellent breakfast assortments and buffet with a kids menu as well. Quiet and serene setting. I would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the pool.
"In and out"
The hotel is typical tuscan style with spacouse surrounding area and garden. Inside the hotel the common places like reception, restaurant ,.. are also very nice and my room was very spacious. But the negative things were that the WiFi was not working , only at the rooms entrance i had some connection. Also no information how to reach the receiption, so i must call with my celluar from outside. Minibar was desaster, only water and 2 juices available, so empty...
It was a one night business trip stopover, arriving late as is often the case but already arriving at the hotel's driveway you notice that this isn't your typical business hotel. Check-in. You enter reception and remark the atmosphere. I was given a room, the #404, looked around for the lift and on not finding one began to think I'd have climb the stairs to reach the room when the receptionist came from behind the counter, accompanied me to the door and showed me where the room was, a short walk across the courtyard to the dependencies, old stables(') renovated into rooms. The room was actually very elegant, fully equipped with very good sleep comfort. The bathroom was spacious and complete with Bidet, use it or not it still merits extra points in my book. The only point that raised an eyebrow about the room was the light switch consoles on the bed side tables, in my opinion a simple set of light switch on the wall would have been sufficient and would have left a little more space on the night table for phones and little things one likes to keep close to hand. The breakfast room is elegant, situated in what appears to be an old barn and is reached by transiting 2 very elegant rooms, traditionally, reading rooms or for after dinner drinks, decorated very much like a "Maisons du Monde" store, or maybe it's the other way round. Check out was rapid and efficient as was the check in and it was an enjoyable experience, albeit short. Final remark. To comments you may read about personnel being arrogant, it really depends on with what attitude you go there with. For me the staff reflect the "Ambience" of the hotel and they are aware that they work in a hotel of quality standing and not in an anonymous multinational business hotel. You take it or you leave it. Personally I will go again and take the wife.
