"Still the best hotel in central Brussels"
I last stayed here a couple of years ago, and whilst the room I had was a poky little thing in the eaves, it was very pleasant. This time I had a regular room on the first floor, and it was the nicest I've stayed in in Brussels - very good quality furnishings, great bed, excellent service. The room service food remains a disappointment but the quality of every other aspect makes up for it. Would definitely recommend.
"Beautiful, classic hotel in a great location"
Stayed here for 4 nights with my sister and 23 year old son while traveling in Belgium. The staff was very attentive, warm and helpful. We definitely made good use of their terrific concierge services. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, clean and modern. We had breakfast included with our room which was not quite as generous as other hotel breakfasts I have had in Europe but it was fine- eggs and oatmeal were additional which was a little unusual. Beautiful dining room and good service. Excellent bartender in the lobby bar- we enjoyed many times! Even though the hotel is in a touristy and busy area, it is a little oasis in the midst of it all and is a lovely place to stay.
"Amazing Place to Stay"
I recently stayed in this hotel and it was an incredible stay. I was in Brussels for a work trip and was fortunate enough to get a room here at a very good rate. The location is unbeatable - right next to the Grand Place. The check in was great and very welcoming. The room itself was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The lobby bar is also a good place to get a drink. In addition, my birthday happened to occur while I was staying there and after getting back after a day of meetings, they left a fruit tart for me with a card wishing me happy birthday. That was a very nice touch and definitely above and beyond. I can't recommend this hotel enough.
"Best Stay in Brussels "
Love this hotel in the heart of Brussels. Superb service and wonderful welcoming rooms, most with views of the town center. Hotel has a superb restaurant for brunch and dinner. Walking distance to many attractions...a must stay.
"Attentive Staff and Superb Accommodations"
We remembered the Amigo from the days when we lived in Brussels as students 45 years ago. Finally, as tourists, we were their guests for three nights. It is perfectly situated and a one minute walk from the Grand Place. The room was lovely, and faced the back (at our request) to avoid the Beer Fest crowds in the streets. What makes the hotel stand out is the attention given by the staff; Haluk, our main concierge, and Catherine could not do enough for us. Haluk tirelessly explained the intricacies of getting around Brussels with many streets closed to traffic. He relished in telling us about local restaurants - many of which we had eaten in 45 years ago - that were still in business and as good as they ever were. Haluk and Catherine (I hope I have her name correct) made us feel welcome. She even tolerated my need to converse in French . The restaurant within the hotel served a superb Italian dinner outdoors;
