The positive points of this hotel are: walking distance from the center, good size pool (although crowded), private secure parking, excellent breakfast, good size and recently renovated room. Now some negative points should be addressed: the amazingly slow service in the restaurant (only ate once for dinner), the proximity of a busy street with morning traffic, the very thin towels in the bathroom, the weird system to go to reception and get a pool towel and lastly the extremely slow service at the pool (about 45 minutes between order and delivery..) Despite these I would certainly consider to go back in the future
"Fantastic on Presented Image............but, Awkward and Lacking on Delivery"
We stayed here for a week in May. The room,on the 4th floor had a wonderful balcony with great views. The breakfast was exceptional and expensive. We tried to use the Cardio Work Out Facility, but gave up after a couple of tries. It only has one of each machine and is located in between the sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. The heat is so dangerous, that it could easily kill someone who is trying to work out. There are no fans and we were told that we were not allowed to open the windows. When we tried to complain............we were met with quick responses, but no resolution. The air conditioner in our room leaked water into the room. The front desk sent someone up to fix it. It only got worse after that, and water poured all over the room. Accidentally, we came across the Manager, who gave us some compensation for our troubles, however, we had been up much of the night, wringing out wet towels from the leak.
"Typical French service"
The place is nice. Its clean the room are ok. But the Service in General Is typical French§§ NO BUSINESS SENSE Especially the Restaurant MD. He's rude and not helping at all How to say ATTITUDE in French' The worst was even after telling the manager of the quality this matter... This one has the nerve to say That IT WAS BETWEEN MY COLLEGE WORD AND THE RESTAURANT MD WORD!! And its difficult to believe who say the truth!!!! No apologies ,nothing.. I will NEVER GO BACK
"Beautiful hotel with a fabulous pool"
We had a hard time finding the hotel as this was our first time in Aix. Once we located it and went out for a walk, we found that it is very well located and quite close to tons of restaurants, Cours Mirabeau, many markets, nice shops and museums. Our experience at the hotel was interesting. At first, we were very disappointed: the TV didn't work, amenities that we expected in the bathroom were absent. We reported our concerns to the front desk staff and their response couldn't have been quicker. We had a new TV and lotions in the bathroom in a matter of minutes. Very impressive! Still, there were things that couldn't be changed e.g. the spartan furnishings in the room and the configuration of the bathroom..the toilet and the sink are in different rooms, which, to me, is very unsanitary. We loved the breakfast which was served in an indoor/outdoor location. Since we had very hot weather, we were able to enjoy the morning sun in the lovely garden. It was so hot that we made it a point to spend some time swimming in the very large pool. The only problem was the lack of towels. Robes are supplied and after a swim, you have to sit on one of the lounge chairs with only the robe that you have been wearing to separate you from a chair that has been used by hordes of other people. Ugh! All in all, the Aquabelle is a nice place with a couple of drawbacks, and a lot of assets.
We stayed here for 3 nights recently. The rooms and bathrooms are well appointed, but not large. There is street noise in the standard rooms with the window open for fresh air. Good breakfast, very relaxed in a pleasant airy restaurant. Good central location, within walking distance of many of the sites of the old town
