"Convenient location and very friendly staff"
Very conveniently located and right next to some cheap eats and convenience stores where we could buy (not overpriced) drinks and fresh fruit. The staff were very friendly and attentive. One breakfast, we happened to be the only ones in the dining area, one of the staff changed the TV channel to something in English without us even asking. Special mentions goes to Leonard who handled a last minute dinner booking for us very well. We also had some trouble with the air conditioning. One call to reception and he was at our door ready to help within 2 minutes! We also happened to get a room upgrade, which was a nice bonus!
"Family Wedding In Florence"
My stay at the Art Atelier Hotel was excellent. The staff were helpful and attentive, bringing an ironing board and iron to my room so I could iron out the creases from my dress for the wedding. My room was comfortable and air conditioned, which is imperative when it is hot. The breakfasts were very good and plentiful, even freshly made espresso! The location was perfect, a short walk from the station and near to all the sights. My only criticism was the shower in the bath which was in an awkward spot and needs updating. You can't go wrong if you choose to book a stay here, as I will definitely return.
"Excellent location Very tasteful hotel"
My husband and I stayed at this beautifully decorated hotel for a city break last October. As you fly to Pisa and get the train to Florence then the hotel was superbly situated just a few minutes walk from the station. Happily it is only a slightly longer walk to get to the Duomo and all the other wonderful sights of Florence. Our room was a little dark but quaint, spacious and had a lovely big shower room. The colour scheme of the hotel is muted creams and beiges and is delightful and very restful. Breakfast was good with plenty choice although the breakfast room was a little small and some people had to wait to be seated during busy periods. This hotel was a perfect choice for us due to its location, ambiance courteous staff.
The was a good hotel close to the sights. The staff was very courteous and accommodating to us. They were very helpful providing useful information about the sights and being warm and greeting us when we returned from a day out on the town. The continental breakfast allowed for generous portions and made to order coffee. I would have rated the hotel higher except for the following issue with my room. I was staying on the first/zero floor next to the elevators. Here are the draw backs to the room. The only window in the room faces the street and allowing pedestrian traffic to peer into our room. The door does not always close and needs significant force to close the door appropriately. The hotel staff saw me struggle to close the door and said that I need to use more force to close the door. Also when there are a lot of people in the lobby talking the echo from the lobby can be heard clearly in the room. Also to access the bathroom you have three steps up and I forgot about the steps several times and almost fell down coming out of the room. The shower has a drainage problem and can flood quickly if the shower pressure is too high. The wifi quality was very poor.
"Perfect base for Florence sightseeing"
My husband and I stayed here for two nights in May. It was a very short walk from the main train station and the front desk was very helpful during check in providing maps and info. Our room was large and had great black out curtains that were great for taking naps (jet lag). Their beds were our favorite of any hotels we visited on our trip. They also offered a tasty complimentary breakfast. This hotel was perfect to explore the city as you were only a 5min walk to the duomo and other sights. Highly recommended!
