"Great hotel, close to train station "
Clean and tidy hotel. Coffee machine in room, good bathroom, lots of plugs in room. Bit of noise from the train tracks next door though and a very tiny lift! Great helpful staff on reception who will give you a free pass to use all the city's public transportation
"Modern quiet and well placed"
Only stayed a night but found this hotel modern, very quiet and very well placed for a short stroll to the Lake and the centre of Geneva. Very helpful staff and even a view of the lake and mountains from our balcony.
""2 Days In Geneva""
Decided to make a little trip to Geneva as had been in France for 9 days. Chose this hotel as it was both reasonably priced for the city and was very close to the train station. Well it was definitely an excellent decision picking Hotel Auteuil. First of all we arrived early in the day so just thought we would drop off our luggage. The front desk was more then welcoming and arranged for us to have a room then. So nice! The hotel and rooms are lovely with all the amenities one expects in a smaller boutique hotel. The location is excellent as mentioned because it is very close to the train station along with just being a few blocks from the beautiful Lake Geneva. Plenty of restaurants of all levels are also in the area along with a grocery store if you need treats etc... Would highly recommend staying here and definitely ourselves would again. All the staff remembered that you the guests were the special ones. A huge thank you from Canada!
"Great for a business trip"
Back in March myself and a colleague of mine were checked into this place to stay in while we were touring the manufactures of Chopard. We were very pleased overall with the service at the hotel and the rooms were pleasant too. The reception was clean and well staffed with a nice little waiting area, shame there seemed to be some bloke on drugs sitting around in it. We stayed in more budgeted accommodation, not surprising really considering it was just one night. Still, the rooms were neatly furnished and a nice easy layout too. The rooms were pretty much spotless as well, a nice escape from the bustle of the city! Things of note, they aren't major, but the TV reception for British channels was terrible, with only BBC 4 (boring for someone my age usually) being a consistent signal. Also, the mini-fridge is not powerful enough to effectively cool a bottle of water you may have bought outside the hotel. Also, the air conditioning isn't very powerful so consider keeping the window open in warmer times, it is at least quiet though. The bed is also very comfortable and the bathroom is very nice too. The cooked breakfast was a little odd, the sausages were... not what I was expecting given it's supposed to be a take on a Full English. Also, the scrambled eggs were overbeaten and had gone quite runny. The bacon was nice though, which is probably the most important bit, either way I'd stick to a continental breakfast. Nice location too, hidden on the streets of the city.
"Strange check in process"
This was not my first time at Hotel Auteuil... The hotel is certainly not the best I have ever stayed, but also not the worse... It is very well located (a few blocks from the lake and from the train station) so very conveniente. What made me upset this time was the check in process... For some reason (I do not understand) they assign rooms to the guests in advance... In this case, even if there are rooms available before the guest which is using the room you are supposed to take leaves, you cannot be checked in... This weird process made me wait for almost four hours in the hotel reception before my room was available (again, knowing there were other "empty" rooms). So weird!
