"I just wouldn't stay anywhere else in Zermatt!"
Having chosen this hotel based on it's excellent Trip Advisor reviews, my expectations were high, but the service and hospitality went above and beyond what I could have imagined. Our junior suite was just beautiful (no view of the matterhorn. but I knew this beforehand from their website) and had an enormous, comfortable bed and freestanding bath. Spa facilities were compact, but amazing for a 3 star hotel. My boyfriend was blown away by the ski-room, fitted with heated cabinets for drying out your boots after a long day's skiing. One tip: book through the hotel's website directly to get the cheapest price, and added extras such as a transfer to/from the station as well as a free minibar! I just wouldn't stay anywhere else in Zermatt from now on!
"Wonderful place to stay in Zermatt"
Our stay at Bellerive exceeded all expectations. The service was great: all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, beautiful, and had wonderful features such as a large standalone bathtub. There is also a lovely balcony where you can enjoy a beautiful view and some wine. The location of the hotel is very central and convenient while being off the main street therefore it isn't very busy or noisy. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast which includes a delicious selection of cheeses. Another favorite was the Spa area which includes a hot tub, sauna, and steam room, adding the finishing touch to an alpine getaway.
"Stunning hotel "
We travelled round Europe staying in various different accommodations to sample local culture. From the moment we booked this hotel the staff went over & above to help us. We arrived in tasch & contacted the hotel to collect us from the train station in zermatt. Within minutes the driver arrived & took our luggage. We travelled for a further 5 minutes to the hotel where we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. Because we were going straight back out on the train to Matterhorn they helped us a great deal. Our bags were taken to our room, the receptionist took us up herself showed us round & explained everything. We went straight out & once we arrived back the service continued. The room was lovely, very chic, cosy & comfortable and met all our needs. The balcony just finished it off as we sat watching the stars listening to nothing but peace & quiet! In the morning the hotel held our luggage, we had a beautiful breakfast & were given advice as we wanted to do sone sight seeing. In departure again we were taken to the train station luggage looked after & what was really nice after so many visits to other countries in this world no tip was expected! We would highly recommend this hotel, it's unfortunate that we only stayed 1 night however we will be returning & will definetly like to try the spa. We cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, expertise and friendliness. It's a credit to the hotel.
"Hotel Bellerive - the place to stay in Zermatt!"
Fully expecting Zermatt to be packed with one hotel after another and little customer service, we were completely surprised and amazed to be greeted warmly at the Bellerive by the hotel owner and find that every detail of the guests' stay had been given much forethought. We were picked up at the train station, the customer service was outstanding and the design of our room made it not only beautiful and comfortable, but made excellent use of every inch of the space and included a balcony with lambswool covered seats. Breakfast was filling and delightful and we fell in love with the fresh squeezed orange juice and pastries. There was a fire in the fireplace in the lobby, a place to relax outside on warm days and a spa on the lower level. When we had to leave, they made sure a ride to the train station was waiting, despite the fact that our train left extremely early in the morning. Because of the Bellerive, Zermatt became a high point of our vacation and we would definitely recommend selecting it.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Bellerive on September 19, 2017. What a fantastic hotel. It is about 10 mins easy walk from the train station. The hotel is absolutely beautiful from the outside and stunning from the inside. We had a balcony (we got upgraded---yaaaay---thank you!) overlooking the Matterhorn. The view was perfect. They even have a blanket and binoculars so we can sit and watch. The beds are comfortable. There are plenty of great pillows. My favorite was a small head pillow--I swear, I have never has such an amazing pillow. There is even a BEAUTIFUL spa and sauna on the bottom floor--very well decorated, with relaxing music, and a great place to enjoy after walking around. The minibar is free. The breakfast is fantastic. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and I have traveled to more than 25 countries. I would definitely stay here again.
