Located in front of a canal, in one of the most exclusive districts of the city, Ca Maria Adele hotel is only a few steps away from Church of Santa Maria della Salute and St. Mark's Square.
The hotel is a easily accessed by either public or private transport.
I'd be working a bit overtime to find a serious flaw with this hotel - the location is set far enough from the chaos to be perfect. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean. Front desk was helpful and attentive. Water pressure rocked. Couldn't recommend more highly - this is a great spot.
"Beautiful and best location in Venice"
The hotel is so nice furnished and really clean. The service was great and the staff very kind, helpful and always smiling. The location of the hotel in Dorsoduro is perfect to reach any other places, no matter if by foot or by boat. I really had a great time with my sister in Ca Maria Adele; you will fall in love with. And don't miss this breakfast, so yummy!! All in all a perfect concept and style. Thank you so much.
"Charming boutique hotel"
I stayed at Ca Maria Adele only 1 night in a Deluxe Room in the main building (495 Euros the night). The hotel is well located in Dorsoduro, next to la Salute and Punta Della Dogana and the vaporetto stop, but be aware that you will need to cross the Grand Canal for St. Mark Square and the big tourists attractions. I knew this perfectly as this was my 34th visit to Venice and I love the area of Dorsoduro, however it's necessary to mention it for people coming to Venice for the first time. I checked-in in the morning. My room was not ready but the reception kindly offered a drink in the lounge. As I was meeting friends I left my suitcase and came back only around 7pm. My room was on the 2nd floor (room 224) overlooking La Salute Church. The room was small but cosy. The wardrobe space is pretty limited. It was OK for me as I was alone and it was just for one night, but for a couple staying there a week, it might be difficult. One important thing, which did not bother me but could be a problem for other people: stairs are pretty narrow and very steep (however, I think there is/are 1 or 2 bedrooms on the ground floor). One thing which bothered me is that all the electrical plugs are fixed on each side of the headboard. I wanted to work on the desk but could not do it as I needed to plug my computer. Bathroom was really small but with a good shower and generous assortment of toiletries I appreciated that inside the shower there was space to put the soap, shampoo etc. However in the bathroom itself there is no place to put your toiletry case and amenities. I had to put mine in the bidet, which I think they should remove and replace with a storage space. It was not specified that the mini bar was complementary. Corridors are night are pretty dark as mentioned in another review. It was pretty hot at night and I could not set the temperature (AC was working poorly). I then decided to open the window. Breakfast has to be ordered the night before as there is no buffet breakfast. You have the choice of eating on roof terrace, in room or in the breakfast room. When I came to my room at night, I found the breakfast order lovely displayed with roses petals on the bed. I opted to have breakfast in the dining room located on the 1st floor. I came at 8.30 and there was nobody. A lady in a lovely maidservant uniform came and brought me my breakfast. I enjoyed the breakfast room, the calm, the quiet relaxing classical music. The scrambled eggs were excellent. Not far away from my room there was a lovely little terrace. In conclusion: I enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the hotel, the location but for the price room and especially bathroom could be bigger. It's an excellent 4 stars hotels with 5 stars prices...
"A Slice of Heaven"
I have had the fortunate opportunity to travel to 50 countries, staying in guest houses, hotels, hostels and homes, and I must say that this romantic, gem of a place is one of the best I’ve experienced. From the moment we arrived by water taxi, we felt like honored guests, as we were met a few steps from the dock at reception with glasses of prosecco. Front desk staff who double as concierge were courteous and knowledgeable, never tiring of our questions. They made arrangements for dinners, recommended a local Vivaldi concert and helped us with excursions to Padua and Verona. Every time we arrived back at the hotel, we were welcomed as if we were friends. We even had a chance to meet the owners, Nicola and Alessio, two brothers who have created a unique and classy environment, finding the right balance of classic Venetian design and modern amenities. The views from our room (332) were unbelievable and worth the climb to the third floor. As the church bells chimed from the tower at the Santa Maria della Salute basilica next door, we could watch as they joyfully announced another hour had arrived (they are silent during the night). Spacious, comfortable and clean, the room was a great place to relax at the end of our touring days. Each night, we had the chance to select our breakfast for the next day. Choices were many, and I’m not just referring to the food. We could choose where we wanted to eat breakfast—our room, the garden terrace, the breakfast room, and we could even select our specific time to dine. We loved the courteous and kind restaurant staff, too. It’s so close to the Grand Canal, we could see it from our room, and yet, it is tucked away on a quiet canal away from the crowds. We were looking for a romantic getaway, and we were so grateful we found Ca Maria Adele, an unforgettable slice of heaven.
"Quiet hotel, well located"
Quiet hotel, 2 minutes from the boat/bus stop and from Punta Dogana Musée. We had 2 very nice rooms, 1st floor, with dressings and safe box. No elevator, small living room but very cosy and cute, a small terrasse very quiet for a drink. Personal is very kind. Awesome breakfast, very good. A ventilation was missing in the bathroom. no restaurant but room service. VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE I recommend
